Passport + Birth Registraion

Dear Forum,

Do I need to be in country to register a Child birth and apply for a British Passport? I am a Brit, wife is Thai, and baby is ours.

Child in Thailand, Born in Thailand. I am in the UK and wife is in Thailand.

Applications can be made by post but should i wish my passport to be returned to the wife can that be done?

Arrange his/her passport when you travel to Thailand to see him/her.

Your Birth Certificate showing your parents names

Birth Certificate (translated into English)

Mothers passport (Original)

Fathers passport (Original)

Completed application

It would be easier if you could be present as you need to sign on his/her behalf.
