Why are Trump supporters so unwilling to criticize even some of his policies?
The whole Trump phenomenon is a textbook case of boiling the frog—a slow descent into authoritarianism that his supporters either don’t notice or willingly ignore. It started with just words—little breaches of norms, like mocking opponents, attacking the press, and cozying up to dictators. Then came the real heat: undermining institutions, refusing to accept election results, and calling for political retribution. By the time he's openly saying he’ll be a dictator "only on day one," the pot is practically at a rolling boil, but his supporters are too cooked to notice. And why won’t they criticize him? Because they’re not just the frog in the pot; they’re the ones turning up the heat while yelling, "Feels like freedom!" Every time he pushes the line—whether it’s attacking democracy, stoking division, or threatening to jail opponents—they rationalize, excuse, or cheer it on. By the time they do realize it (if ever), it’ll be too late. Either they’ll be left croaking, or they’ll insist that boiling alive was the plan all along. -

Government Hires Crackpot to "Study" Nonexistent Link Between Vaccines and Autism
I had expected people that supported the forceful vaxxing of people who were rightfully skeptical of the experimental muck might be having a moment of quiet reflection. Guess not. -

Post Earthquake: Tap Water is Cloudy but immediately clears up.
In my hotel, post earthquake, they had to shut the water off for about 24 hours on the top floors of my hotel. Water was turned on the next day. Today I noticed if I pour some tap into a glass, there is a cloudy sediment (?) which clears up in a few seconds. The hotel said to run the water for a time and see if that helps. Just curious if anyone has insight into this? I just shower with the water and use a Brita for tap water for cleaning and steaming vegetables. The rest of the time I use bottled water. -

British Widow's Heartbreak: Husband's Death Brings Bureaucratic Ordeal
And legal liability is a facet of that (whether you said it or not). The medication I mentioned has very little negative side effects, unless complicated by 'other medications'... From a moral facet - trying 'something' with basic medical knowledge is a better option that watching them die. Example: Giving someone suffering a cardiac-arrest Nitroglycerin spray can have significant immediate impact with very little downside. In fact a lot of Airlines carry both Epi-Pens and Nitroglycerin spray (or tablets) as part of their medical kits.... as its becoming more widely acceptable for laymen to admister such medication. Clexane (Low Molecular Weight) Heparin is not commonly part of standard emergency kits carried by airlines - however - Thrombosis is a major risk issue on flights. Just like a DVT and / or Pulmonary Embolism, a stroke is a thrombotic event that can be minimised with medication such as Heparin - which effectively thins the blood with little side effect (unless on other medication) - its surely better than watching someone die (thats just my perspective, I'm sure an Airline lawyer would disagree). Its the same principle as having an automated external defibrillator (AED) in public areas where the public are protected by 'good samaritan regulations' where as liability is a greater concern for corporations such as airlines.
