My experience is your One year clock includes the 30 day under consideration stamp so the actual extension stamp will be 11 months out the day they put it in your PP - not 12 months.

I did track the receipt of old PP/forms via Thai post but did not hear back from US embassy until I requested my status and then was informed I will receive new PP in a few days

Just went through same situation in Annual Dec visa exp and previous received new PP in Aug… the proper transfer stamp of current visa to New PP render no copies needed from old PP of anything…I still brought it along just in case just received my marriage visa extension stamp 2 days ago after 30 days under consideration stamp

Zebra crossings are for show only…drivers are not taught to respect them God forbid that proper signals co exist with painted crossings and are operational and complied with by drivers it’s all about not wanting to spend/invest in the pedestrian infrastructure vs losing a few folks here and there life is cheap in Asia is reinforced every day on Thai roads

Thais and Thai culture don’t handle any form of criticism… the objective is not to get to the truth but to protect the person and their image from guilt or wrong behavior quite sad reflection on the culture and why things never improve or strive to get better…there is no will or mindset individually or collectively to correct/punish bad behavior… Basket of fruit or a wai wipes away in some cases despicable behavior…

Sure hope there is a professional third party review to learn from the mistakes that were made - loss of life is preventable at sea if proper contingency plans are activated and followed…. isn’t the captain the last to leave the sinking ship? I guess not in this case….
