The Thai culture avoids accountability...It is not an issue of whether right or wrong, but the culture doesn't like the idea that any customer can issue an opinion. It is only an opinion (doesn't mean fact) and any customer has the right to an opinion. The fall back position here is we will sue you for criticism and damaging our reputation. Prove to me it damaged your reputation...I would counter sue It is a cultural thing as a way to protect itself from encouraging constructive criticism. It doesn't matter whether justified or not. It is a freedom of speech issue...Does Thailand encourage or restrict freedom of speech by its actions?

Question - why would a non Thai agree with role playing the crime again for police? i am innocent and up to the prosecutor to prove my guilt in a court of law…. it is bogus that the police act as judge and jury even b/f a case comes to a trial…is there not a proper court system in thailand? Unless you get a re entry stamp in new PP, your old stamp is no good and they don’t give you a re entry stamp unless you have your transferred visa stamp extension in new PP b/f you can apply for a re entry permit must do it all b/f your departure to Oz and return b/f expired extension

My experience is your One year clock includes the 30 day under consideration stamp so the actual extension stamp will be 11 months out the day they put it in your PP - not 12 months.

I did track the receipt of old PP/forms via Thai post but did not hear back from US embassy until I requested my status and then was informed I will receive new PP in a few days

Just went through same situation in Annual Dec visa exp and previous received new PP in Aug… the proper transfer stamp of current visa to New PP render no copies needed from old PP of anything…I still brought it along just in case just received my marriage visa extension stamp 2 days ago after 30 days under consideration stamp

Looks like stiffness all around
