  4. Giving notice that you leave before your contract ends is breaking the contract. It seems to me that the OP classifies matters as being serious fairly easy or is very unlucky in life. If you have ailing parents who depend on your help only, I wouldn't start working in a country very far away and/ or sign a long term contract.
  5. You know nothing about the setup of the IT environment of banks. You use the very limited knowledge of somebody at the counter to assume a ridiculous situation. Before you ask, I have been a software engineer when i started in IT 40 years ago and now head of project management at an IT service company which has customers worldwide (including banks).

  7. Absolute control over your life? Just finish the contract that you signed. It seems you don't take contracts very seriously as you ended several prematurely.
  8. If you can't support yourself in your home country with that amount, you are an economic migrant, otherwise not.
  9. Thailand is a great place to live if you have money.
  10. Only people who want to rip off foreigners don't like them to speak Thai. Hookers and pimps have a greater percentage that belong to that group than average.
  11. People who work here and want to stay living here qualify. Not every thread is for everybody.
  12. No need for a lawyer, the local Labour office will help for free. Employers fear the Labour office as they could be jailed. The procedure through the Labor office doesn't take that long at all.
