  1. Sounds excessive, but maybe he's out on bail for the next 20 years while he appeals.
  2. The estimate is worthless anyway. If they estimate;mate 100,000 and charge you 200,000 there is nothing you can do about it, they simply say the surgery was unexpectedly more complicated and cost more.
  3. That is already part of my plan. 180 days max stay. I'll spend the rest in EU (Irish passport), US and an Asian country that I have a residence in. Oh and Bob, if you are British you need to change your domicile as well.
  4. I am liking this getting rid of disgusting people that MF are seeming to do. I do hope it continues so that when the next election rolls around then they will have a line up of 'clean' moral candidates in marked contrast to the filth in the other parties. This refusal of senators of all parties (except MF of course) to allow to the police to question one of their own is deplorable.
  5. I must admit to being intrigued by this endless forecasting about 4 million or not. Suppose it ends up at 3.95 million? Is that a disaster for Thailand. Will the country enter a deep depression? Or will it continue on as it has been doing? Suppose it is 4.05 million, will the sky open and millions of money filled envelopes float down and bring joy back to the people? Somehow I don't think so. The fact is 4 million, less than 4 million or more than 4 million makes little difference to anyone other than the owners of hotels and travel businesses who get a little more or little less profit.....I'm making a possibly totally untrue assumption in here that if 4.05 million Chinese arrive the hotel and business owners won't award their employees a 50% pay rise in which case the difference in numbers may affect a lot of people.? I could be wrong of course.
  6. Thank you. I had an idea the 'consular' was a PR thing and not real like all things British.
  7. I think the lures aren't working. They should learn to tie flies for fly fishing instead.
  8. It's UV light interacting with the plastic. Buy new headlights and your car will look like new. Then park it out of sunlight.
  9. If you are not hitched top by the time you are 75, it's time to call it a day love. I'm sorry the bastard broke your heart and bank account. There are some filthy swine around.
  10. My house is in Thailand. When I'm in Thailand I live in it.
  11. Please keep up to date, the Benz driver is a tranny, have you seen the pic?
  12. I guess this will make them less easy and much more expensive to insure. hahahahaha
  13. Personally, I'd try eating less potassium.
  14. Another 3 Rashomon Cat on a Hot Tin Roof Saturday Night and Sunday Morning
  15. Greedy people are easy to swindle, in all walks of life.
  16. Now let's have some justice. Don't let this rich bastard off because he's rich and doesn't give a <deleted> about poor people. Throw him in the slammer for attempted murder and GBH..
  17. I can certainly say that many Thai men have in my experience been outrageous liars. I cannot say the same for women. My own relationship is some 18 years now, still strong, loving. She tells the odd fib now and gain when she wants to give her family money and doesn't want a debate with me, but that's as far as it goes. I'm a believer in treating women decently and they will treat you decently most of the time. Most of the men who complain about their wives, that I know of, treat their wives abysmally, and get the horror they dole out, doled right back at them. Personally I hate cheapness. I'm not cheap, never have been, and I really dislike it in people who look at the police of beer and say, "I'm not going in there the beer's too expensive" or walk around town for an hour finding some stinky, dirty hovel that was 5 baht a bottle cheaper, but where you might catch hepatitis. Cheap men get horrible relationships because the relationship is driven by money and imagined wasting if it. So please keep being cheap Charlies and I'll keep being generous and happy.
  18. Well she's got my vote of confidence anyway, not that I will be investing in Thailand's capital markets.
  19. All equally unfriendly. No Thai's speak English apart from the very odd one. No one in the shops speak any English, only bar girls can manage limited conversation.
  20. Do you both live in Thailand? Have kids? 40000 seems an awful lot. A mate of mine used to give his wife 50,000 a month, then found out she was snaking down to Pattaya while he was away 'working as a cashier to give money to he mother." Monthly outgoings on place and care were 15,000 a month. Anyway, she told him that he would have to keep paying her 50,000 a month because that is what they had agreed her 'salary' was. He told her he was paying nothing. They went to court and she was awarded nothing, but left with legal bills.
  21. Quelle surprise! and looks like he's drinking a cooling can of Chang after all that hard work.
  22. The used to be an 'ad' on Radio 1 where the DJ would announce a break for the weather forecast and a guy with a Caribbean accent would say, "I'm on de roof of de BBC and it's pissing down". It was funny at the time.
  23. Why on earth would you go and work in Gaza? It is a prison camp.
  24. If ever there was a job for saving money by closing down useless institutions then closing down ONWR is it.
