Clinton says Trump’s threats ‘should scare every American’
retarius replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I'm American and I'm not afraid. Indeed I have no fears except I fear for the nation if Genocide Joe Biden gets in. How can a man with no morals on the issue of genocide be president? It's inconceivable and scary to me. -
War is ugly, but European politicians love it, especially the Brits. I see only pain in the future. We need to get rid of these warmongering scum as our leaders, if there is to be a happy life for our kids and grandkids. Vote for peacemakers not warmongers.

Concern Over Spread Of Covid-19, Nearly 10,000 Cases A Day
retarius replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. No more vaccine for me. I'm not concerned because I don't believe it anyway. -
I sincerely hope not. I am enjoying this exchange rate on my SS paid here. But I can't decide who has the weaker currency really. If US rates come down, so will the currency. If Thai rates come down so will the currency. You then have state of the nation......US in an awful pickle what with provoking wars to break out everywhere, and the tax payer has to pay for them and a deficit of $1 trillion this year so, $3 trillion forecast for this year. Thailand in a smaller pickle, but a pickle being created by a mindless baboon who dreams up new expensive gimmicks every day and never ever finishes a job.

Goodness. I left Europe in 1985 unable to see much of a future for my kids in the UK under the vile Thatcher. I wouldn't fancy living there now without huge a/c units next to me 24/7, and the cost would be outrageous unless you lived ion a small hovel. Sometimes the grass really is greener on the other side. You couldn't pay me to live in Europe lead by half witted politicos like Ursula, Borrell, idiot Macron, submissive Scholz and Sunak etc. They make Srettha seem like a statesman instead of a used car salesman.

Boy, 10, admits to shooting and killing man at trailer park
retarius replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Why, it was an accident. Why do you call them 'trailer trash'. What a vile thing too say. -
I had a fissure maybe 20 years ago. The LIS procedure was in office and painless (apart from the local anaesthetic, which hurt like hell). No lasers, quick recovery and no issues. I tend to prefer operations which are common and which the surgeon has done many cases. Your difficulty finding a laser-wielding surgeon may mean you will be having treatment from a less experienced surgeon.

PM Explores Hosting Formula One Race in Bangkok
retarius replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Why doesn't Srettha achieve anything? Because in life you have to focus and prioritise, meaning do fewer things and see them through to completion with laser like focus. Srettha is a gimmick a day man, he sits there dreaming up new gimmicks during the evening and vomits them out the next day, but fails dismally at implementing. Pick 1 from the digital wallet, land bridge etc and all the other tosspot ideas he has floated, then implement it. -
Thailand urged to increase renewable power target beyond 50%

Floating solar panel arrays? Where, on the lakes, on the Chao Praya river......what about the fish? what about navigation? Electricity doesn't mix very well with fish, why do human want to kill everything? -
Plant-based meat popularity fuels new ventures in Thailand
retarius replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I read on the business pages that the stock price of plant based products is nose diving in the US based on declining sales so early in the life cycle. Let's face it if we are fishing out the seas, I want to eat as much sashimi tuna I can before it goes extinct....same with meat, what am I going to eat tonight? An 8oz wagyu beef steak. I feel the same way about plant based food as I do about eating insects....revolting. -
Motorbike taxi driver stabs colleague in Phuket over passenger
retarius replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
These motorcycle taxi drivers seem like a bad breed. I suspect that we see a very small percentage of the violent assets they commit. Other than gangsters and drug dealers I can't think of a group in the west in which there is so much lawlessness. -
Phuket car rentals must verify tourist driving licenses
retarius replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
In this situation you have someone who wants to rent a vehicle and a dealer that wants to satisfy the customer for his own livelihood. There are no other parties involved in the transaction. What is to stop the renter using a fake licence and the loaner accepting it? To me this will achieve nothing. It is against the natures of both parties to accept an obviously false or even no, licence and to take a chance. The dealer risks nothing as he is likely Thai, and if the police become involved after an accident, the dealer is a victim because his property is damaged. The renter, ie the driver will be found at fault by the police and by the courts if it goes to court. -
Over 5 million senior Thais still working without formal education

A shame too think these are probably Thailand's most productive workers with a work ethic that the youngsters won't match. Who will cut the rice when these oldsters die off? -

Thai government’s Ofos project to create 20 million jobs from June
retarius replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Maybe I haven't been paying attention recently. I haven't heard the 'soft power' initiate for at least two months.....I thought it had died of natural causes i.e. choked on its own vomit. Does Thaksin get royalties on One Tambon One SoftPower revenue? -

10 year old girl shot dead over land concession conflict in Krabi
retarius replied to snoop1130's topic in Krabi News
The government might want to start a process whereby each plot of land has one only owner and that is the one held by a central registry. There are too many violent disputes over land. I have lived in several place and nowhere has any ambiguity over who owns what piece of land. Knowing who owns the land is the start of civilisation. -
