  1. But the Western and English language media is totally biased in favour of Israel's genocide. The west endorse the genocide reflected the type of people their leaders are, and the global south rejects that narrative and calls it as it is. A vile breach of humanity by Israel.
  2. As usual poor old demented Biden has it upside down, his moral compass points south instead of north. At least America's children have some moral fibre and they are prepared to stand up for them, even in the face of police violence. Bravo students around the world, take over your universe's campus and protest against the genocide by Isreal in Gaza, as they try to steal even more land. Isolate Israel and turn them into the lepers they are.
  3. I retired from a senior executive position in a large cap US business. I have been on many team building exercises during my career. I found them totally worthless. My question is why on earth would you like to do 'team building' nonsense here in Thailand. Companies here organise coach day trips and the like together with their staff, I doubt these are very effective either, but companies do it out of habit.
  4. Does anyone know if CBD oil can help with diabetic neuropathic pain? And what sort of doses need to be taken to get an effect? I currently take a combination of duloxetine, pregabalin (both approved for neuropathic pain) and tramadol. This combination is outstandingly effective and keeps me totally pain free 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This regimen was first prescribed by a British health specialist in pain medicine in the UK. All The doctors I go to try to get me to come off it the combination and go on to something else, (and especially tramadol when I point out that with the exception of duloxetine and pregabalin there are no drugs at all for neuropathic pain). I told one doctor I would try something else and she prescribed paracetamol purchased through the hospital pharmacy at about 2000 baht for a months therapy. BTW Paracetamol is totally ineffective for neuropathic pain and can be bought as a generic for 1 baht per pill for almost any retail pharmacy. I have been taking this regimen for the past 13 years with no ill effects that I can tell. Tramadol is increasingly hard to obtain in Thailand and from private hospitals is scandalously expensive. Thus, I am searching for an alternative, not for efficacy of safety reasons, but for cost. (Note my dose of tramadol is 200mg per day which is below the dose that has ever caused addiction ie 400mg per day in the west. Also 200 mg does not give any sort of a high).
  5. Pretty easy to unravel, anyone supporting genocide is morally depraved.
  6. Nonsense. It was a kid not a rape or sexual assault. Time to grow up I think.
  7. Hey how about some sanctions on Russia. Let's see more of the sanctions that have worked so well for the Ukraine war.
  8. Someone needs to cancel this thread or put a new headline. There are many recent polls that can be referenced without giving a false message...not many of them show Biden leading in a head to head with Trump.
  9. Oh give over. a bit of urine never hurt anyone.
  10. 1200 Israelis, many killed by the IDF btw, is 1200 Palestinians, not 30,000+
  11. Sometimes I'm glad I'm not an early adopter. Thailand it seems will be leading the world with the adoption of EVs. I hope it works out and BYD becomes the standard of motoring excellence....meanwhile I'll drive my ICEs.
  12. Anutin is a louse in the butt crack of humanity.
  13. I gave up with these 'services' long ago. They didn't make my life any easier, that's for sure. Now I book airlines and hotels via the businesses themselves, and pay no commissions to Agoda, Booking .com or whomever. Much easier.
  14. A bit warmer and we'll be able to catch our fish ready cooked straight from the sea. Isn't mankind marvellous? Next up we've got some great US ideas about spraying pollutants into the atmosphere to cut down the sun's rays.....what could possibly go wrong? Those scientists know absolutely everything, don't they? I'm sure glad they are alive at the same time as me.
  15. If I were the police I'd be looking into his financial status and who are the beneficiaries of his estate. The RTP might want to involve the UK police in the investigation, but did it a bit quicker than they did with the Red Bull heir.
  16. Customers should be the centre of all your business thinking. In Thailand it is not, businesses are opened before construction is finished; staff are rarely, if ever, trained; half the stuff advertised or on the menu is unavailable; etc etc. In my whole life prior to coming to Thailand I ate out in top flight restaurants, and I don't mind paying top dollar for great service. I honestly see no point in going out to any restaurants here in Thailand any more with the exception of a handful. And the problem with the handful is that when you revisit one of the them, their service has become awful as well. We have a decent restaurant near us which charges very high prices, and they bring your main course before the starters and the dessert before the main course.....bizarre. We still visit, but I insist on only ordering starters, then when we have eaten them order the main course. There are rules about fine dining and one is that the waitresses should allow 7 minutes between courses, not heap plates all over your table. Owning a decent restaurant is not rocket science.
  17. I am of the opinion that someone should do a study to see how much was invested in cannabis businesses (retail and agricultural) and how much of that was borrowed from banks, relatives, loan sharks etc, and how much will not be paid back. Walk around Bangkok or Pattaya and every second shop it seems was selling cannabis, although they seemed to lack customers. What a waste of investment and energy on this "faux' legalisation of cannabis....a cluster***k from start to finish.
  18. I see a rash of these data centres occurring in third world nations. They consume massive amounts of electricity and need their own reactors. Given that the grid here served us well over the past few weeks with minimal disruption despite exceptionally hot weather, the future looks bleak for consumers if MS and big US corporations come in and steal all the electricity at discount prices..
  19. Give it as animal feed to livestock farmers.
  20. Time to buy a wooden stake and drive it through the heart of this insane 'deal',
  21. What the hell does any student of English need to know this for? My experiences with the teaching of English in Thailand is that it is full of arcane grammar and devoid of speaking.
  22. Poor person makes good for once and the Thai justice system tries to steal it from her.
  23. Putin, a wonderful leader in peace and war and brilliant statesman. He leaves all Western leaders in the dust. Bidet, Scholz, Moroni, Macaroni, Riski (God help him). One senses that the war is going his way as well.
  24. I was looking at wine prices in a local supermarket on Monday. I was shocked to see no difference with prices earlier in the year. I predicted earlier that retailers would hold prices where they have beenhisworically and pocket the additional profits.
