  1. I'm using the Golf GTI '06, been told by the dealer that it's exclusivly run on V-power 95, only at shells. Kinda sucks big time. However some dealer that i've called (outside BKK), told me that gasohol 95 would do just fine. I guess it depends on the person, for me, I would stick to v-power just to be save. Saveing a couple of baht per liter is not worthing fixing an engine.

I really wish that they kept 'straight up' 95, with subsidized prizes.

On that note, does anyone have a clue of the differences between v-power 95 and gasohol 95?

  2. Buy the bottle stuff and then add your own seasoning is the best way to go. But I prefer to the 'make from scratch' method for meat sauce, just seem to have more flavour to it.

It just takes a really long time, got a recipe that takes about 2 hrs, if not more.:o

  3. Where are these places?

    Here: http://bit.ly/hjhpUf

( Green Bay is in Wisconsin, Chicago is in Illinois, both in the Midwestern United States. )

To be even more precise, the United States is located to the south of Canada, which of course until recently was part of our Empire. (Happily, Queen Elizabeth II is still head of state). One could quite easily drive to Canada from either of the towns on the map provided, were it not for the snows at this time of year.

The game being played is called "football" - even though the ball is not round and it is not truly football (like inches and miles, Americans believe in odd things). Apparently shaped to emulate politics there, the ball bounces illogically and unpredictably first in one direction and then another. Lack of rationality may well explain its popularity in that place

These places can also be located to the north of Mexico.

Don't forget that it's actually illegal, in the game, to kick the ball unless you are the kicker/punter!!!!! So why call it football???

  4. It depends on how you want to do it. Whether your Iphone is jail broken or not. If you do this, then the account to which the phone is link to would be the dealer/shop.

And what do you mean by u don't have a CC???

  5. Had weirder stuff on pizza in the US. So may I ask what is a LEGAL definition for a pizza, and is it EU-trade marked? Otherwise I see lots of microbrewery going out of business, since they wouldn't be able to call some of their brew, 'beer'.

Or how about "okonomiyaki" being called Japanese pizza, would that have to be change too?

I would laughed case this out of court, maybe even charged the italian for wasting judiciary time.

I remember a dessert "pizza", choc chip cokkin for crust (it's a 10") banana, masrhmellows, M&M. Baked topped with whipped cream and more choc syrup. Yummy and totally bad for you!!!

  6. Back up and restores with Itunes work greats. So far went 3G-3GS-4G. No problem. GPS is a little tricky, they don't work that great when in area with poor coverage. When walking around it's great, but def. not for driving.

  7. I think this is a good thing. There seems to be an inherent arrogance and disregard and respect for the laws here. Not only just just the suppliers, but the sellers that that might just be working any job they can get, but go after the force behind those that employ them and the police that are being paid to look the other way. Any politician that is caught being a part of these kinds of schemes should face serious charges for misuse of power and stealing from the the country. Charge them with theft and make restitution mandatory. Over 100 billion baht is lost in the lined pockets of the corrupt every year, that should be going towards the good of the country.

    Agreed

Interesting to note that the government is losing money. Do you think that they are behind this.

Some times I just get the feeling that a lot of people are unwilling to let Thailand change. With the present Government there has been many changes. But they are overlooked in favor of what has not changed of witch there is a lot.

In the west we have a saying "Rome wasn't built in a day"

Give Thailand a break. As I have said on other threads corruption in Thailand is no worse than it was in the states. They grew out of it so will Thailand.

Will we grow out of it?? You think so? Cos I see the country going backwards. Changes has to start at the top. I saw a party of high ranking officials in a restaurant, none of the wine had the tax stamped. One was a Penfold with a twist top!!!!!! They don't make twist top for Penfolds as far as I know.

The middle class also has to change the habit of 'gotta have'. You know what I mean? Gotta have the lastest in fashion and accessories. Why spend $$$$ when you can get a 95% accurate copy for $$.

  8. This is not a surprise at all. Targetting one store is pretty much the MO for this type of thing. In Thailand, it is pretty impossible to control and eliminate all counterfeit sellers, there are just too many. I see some people mentioning Panthip Plaza as a target, I've been there one morning where 90% of the stores were closed, mainly software stores. Asked around and was told to come back in the mid afternoon... I hope people get the message in this. They know a raid is coming, so they don't open.

This is how it works here unfortunately. Certain people makes more money tipping off, than they do work the case. If they were to get serious on this: Pantip would be pretty empty, as would MBK. Major lose of income to many people.

If the government were to open up all the offices around the country, I'm sure that all would have some form pirated software in most of the computers.

All of us have been part of the problem too, providing friends with copy of music CDs or even compiled into MP3s. That's counterfeiting!.

Remember those double deck tape players? Able to directly copy the cassette. Recording movies from TVs?

On that note, this is the reason why ps3 isn't as popular as the previous models, or even when compare to the Xbox and Wii. The game can't be copied, or if it could, the machine wouldn't play it. And probably the reason why we can't buy songs on Itunes if your account is base in Thailand.

Remember a news story about a man being charged with selling CD without a license, a couple of month ago? Dude, he fished the things out of someone's trash.

  9. To me the PCX looks like a scooter half way evolved into a snowmobile. I never rode one, but it must feel like a boat. However, they have avoided the horrendous decaling that Yamaha has embarrassed itself with.

Yamaha makes nicely designed bikes and then; I think they have a contest to see who can make the bike as cheap and juvenile looking as possible. I think the same design outfit puts out the cheap kids toys you see in stalls in the mall. Amazingly awful. I see the Fiore intends to continue this sad tradition. The first Fino I ever saw, I thought it was the most elegant scooter I had ever seen, I was so impressed. A couple years later they all looked like trash except the older models. Scoopys are marginally more attractive, some better than others.

My wife has a Hayate, I think it is a great bike it is a shame that Thailand Suzuki is a poor marketer, they make good stuff.

Don't knock it bud. It rides nice and smooth, albeit not very exciting almost a SUV feel to it. IT has plenty of power, well if u r not 80+kg. The seats are nice and wide, once you remove the annoying pillow in the middle.

Got it due to the leg room, my big feet don't seem to fit in the floor of the elegance, or the clicks. Plus it did look more unique before the market caught onto it. I mean how many PCX do you see compare to the clicks, waves, dreams, finos, etc.

  10. I also noticed the CBR250 when I purchased my new PCX in Red / Black design almost two weeks ago. It looks very sporty and is definitely much faster than the PCX. Anyway I chose the PCX over the CBR250, as I only need the bike to get around in the city, where speed does not mean a lot. Furthermore I prefer the more upright sitting position and the storage position on the PCX, though I still sometimes have to use the mirrors as well. Also I find automatic transmisson to be a large convenience for city riding and when always wearing sandals.

I have the same reasons for ordering the PCX .The CBR250 looks great but is not very practical .I wish Honda would bring out a Phantom type bike with two cylinders and 250 cc .

Got a PCX, it's a great little scooter. but now I want something more exciting. But honestly why go CBR 250 when Ninjette 250 is prettier.blink.gif

  11. Kawasaki Ninja250 uses gasahol 91 or 95

Thanks dude. Wonder why the dealer insist on pure 91?? Not a very good selling idea. Oh well

Which dealer is that? The sticker on the tank and the owners manual both say E10 is fine. That's all I ever used in my Ninjette and never had any problems... Ride On! Tony

CM!!! that made me walk away from them.

OH and I am a local, thanks very much
