A couple of Pages back we talked about Herman Brood / Nina Hagen.
See what I dug up from YT (1974 before her breakthrough with the Nina Hagen Band)
For example who don't know Nina Hagen, this is one of the songs from her breakthrough Debut Album (Cover of the Tubes)

Nice idea re solar, but I'm guessing there still a lot of backroom discussions between the politicians / parties / cronies / big players to ensure they all continue to get their slice of the new pie.

And because Peter Frampton was member of the band above a great performance by him

Thank you VERY much, now that's sorted. Based on your kind explanation, I have been billed a base tariff of THB 3.897 (or THB 3.90) per unit (most likely kw/h) and that is to go up to THB 4.68. The increase would read THB 0.783/unit or 20% over the existing tariff. While I don't have an issue nor want to moan over that increase I wonder, how that goes down with the uncles and grannies upcountry with their electricity destroying equipment like old fridges and energy-inefficient rice cookers. Please DO NOTE, the prices you mention are EXCL (Excl of Service Charge, FT Charge and VAT)
Re: the grannies and the uncles upcountry, I already posted about that in post #3 that it is IMHO unfair

I asked quite some time ago at the office of the Provincial Electricity Authority on how to read the bill. Although nice and kind, nobody was able to explain this most complicated bill of surcharge, discount etc. on a simple household electricity bill and I wonder, if anyone reading this particular thread is able to explain the basics.
Type = 1125, means that you are using a 15/45A or 30/100 Meter
Recent Reading = units recorded on the day the meter reader most recently checked the meter (day you got your bill)
Previous Reading = units recorded previous bill period
Consumption = Difference between previous and recent reading in UnitsYou used that Bill Period (03/2566) 431 Units (3373 - 2942)
1679,60 = total electricity charge (excl)
24,62 = service charge for your meter (Payable every month)402,68 (Ft 0,9343) = Fuel surcharge per unit (431 * 0.9343) (The debate in this thread is about this NUMBER)
2107,10 = Sub Total
147,50 = VAT 7% over the Sub Total
2254,60 = Total Amount to paySo you paid an average price per unit of 2254,60 / 431 = 5,23 THB (incl)

In addition it also doesn't (at all) take in consideration low income earners / people who don't use a lot of electric.
IMHO increase it for the heavy users, but lower the burden for the lower income like they did before, usage under a certain amount wasn't affected as much
(Like this, please DO NOTE, these figures are NOT Accurate any more, just used as an Example)

It really serves only to isolate the whole installation for safe working.
Yep that is the reason why I want to put one in, during our solar install that was a main deal breaker (and also one of the reasons why it took so long) because we did not have the Isolator, so in this house I want to put 1 in standard from the start.

On a 5/15 it really should be a 20A incomer but since you are going to upgrade anyway ...
I have no idea if such a (pre-fab) CU exists, but just in case I will also go for the setup of an incomer (can the incomer size be greater then the one from the MAIN CU?)

We are finally doing up the property next door we bought several years ago
The current electric is how can I put it nicely
Current Supply is via 5/15 meter but we intend to get it upgraded to a 15/45 meter.
A couple of questions please
1- What size cable does PEA want to see from the Meter to the House (distance approx 20 meters) is that 25mm² or 16mm²
And must it be copper or alu?
2- What size Main breaker do I need to get for the 5/15 supply (I was thinking of getting such a ready made consumer unit)?

Got the same email from Wise today with a bunch of questions as mentioned.
After answering all the questions, it just says "We’re now checking your information and we’ll notify you if there is anything else required."
I did this once when I first opened the account in Dec of 2022. So it seems like an annual check-up. Not really sure.
Did anyone receive any follow-up on this?
No follow up yet, but just to be sure I cleared my Balances I had with them.

Buriram accepts (max) a one day old one.

Since Xendpay stopped two or three days ago, I tried to log in to Wise and they sent me an email to my old mobile number. Finally, I found a link how to change my mobile number. Now they ask me a selfie holding my passport. I sent them already 7 times and seven times they tell me that cannot read my upload. Sev en times! I sent them clear photos, exactly the way they want.
It's like Bitkub, same problems. I'm at the end of my Latin, how we say in Switzerland.
I had the same but my issue was the lighting when I put on more lights, the selfie finally passed.

Nothing here. Had my account a few years using Thailand as base.
That is then not surprising, because I am using Europe as a Base (also got the WISE ATM card, but that is a real bust, withdraw money from the ATM here in Thailand with it and they charge (in addition to the 220 THB the Thai Bank charges) an "our" ATM Fee which is double the Thai Bank charge)

Yes, I think I get this request every 2 years. Last time was September 2023.
Remember, NEVER use any direct links in an email.
Login to your Wise account from your browser or app and continue from there.
But the questions asked where very intrusive, never had those questions in all the years I have Wise.
Questions where like:
1- How much do you earn a year?
2- How much do you intend to send per year through Wise
3- What is the source of the money
4- Which Countries do you send money to?
etc etc etc
And Yes I followed the link via the Wise Site, got the same message in the Notification area.

Thx, yes it's legit. I checked the site and it's also there.
Just wondering if anyone else got it. They are asking some questions, like how much do you intend to send per year etc etc etc

Wise do charge a lot more then what the Thai Banks charges for usage of their ATM (Thai Bank charges the 2xx THB).
Wise ATM Card (last week when I used it) charged more then double that when withdrawing 25k THB and they labelled it as "Our ATM Fee".
Ps: No currency conversion as it was from my THB Balance at Wise.
