Thanks MJCM. The card is not acrivated. Does Fedex deliver to my door or just to their local office?
Door to Door, if they would deliver to the local office ONLY I would NOT use them as their local office is +/- 200kms away (Korat) 😉

I always use Fedex from Europe to Rural Thailand and it only takes a couple of days and never an issue.
Two caveats though
1- Make sure the Card is NOT activated
2- Fedex is not cheap

^^^ this 👍
Unit charge on a temporary meter is around 7 THB per unit, so hardly 4-5 times the normal rate which is around 4 THB per unit

Thank you
No worries, just lucky that I had an unpaid bill in there so I could take a screenshot, I have several meters listed in the PEA APP (Ours, our neighbours, our Old House, BIL House and Niece her House)

Which bank is that.
I am with KBank and the PEA and they didn't have that app the last time I looked.
If you pay via the PEA App, you can pay via their App through Online Banking, which supports several Banks (inclu KSK) have a look at this screenshot

Actually it's not a scam according to Thai media.
In Bangkok they are nagging us to use e-billing on MEA connect or something.
I just pay my bill through the Thai banking apps it's very easy and it saves all your details and knows your bill amount already.
Apperantely @matchar is correct

@Crossy That Line ID (PEANext) is indeed an Official PEA account.
See the link, but it's ALL in Thai.

Home is absolutely where I am living now which is Rural Buriram.
I had to stay (due to health issues) in Bangkok for almost 3 months and I couldn't wait to get back home.
Luck has it, that after the prolonged stay in BKK and I finally could go home a bigger health scare (Retina Detachment) happened which caused us to go to Bangkok again and I only was home for less then 2 weeks ☹️
Edit: Had to stay in Bangkok again for 1,5 months 😞

Visa applications normally say recent bank statement.
And what recent is is of course up to the Consular Officer 😉
Same with the Marriage Registration (KR2) some Immigration offices want it issued on the same day as going to Immigration while others don't mind that it is a couple of day old. TiT!
-
I just wonder what will be accepted as proof that the money is in the account?
If they would accept a Bank Statement that is 1 day old, you could do that (if your Thai Bank has a branch in Mukdahan) before you cross the border to Laos and then following day (morning) go to the Consulate.

Ft of .2048 * 79kWh = 16.18 Baht = what is on your bill 🙂
Any indication what the 56.12 Baht discount was for?
I edited my Post.
You are spot on with Ft, the discount was (according to my wife) return money regarding Ft (maybe from previous month?)

Ft should be down to .2048 now, so that helps a bit 🙂
Thx.
Ft was 16,18 (Yep 79 * .2048)
Total Bill was 318,24
But got a discount of 56,12 total to pay was only 262.12
Edit: According to my wife stated on the bill it said it was a discount regarding Ft (I guess regarding previous month)

Our first Bill Period (Sept - Oct) with our "real" Solar
PEA usage 79 Units
Solar production 157 Units so average (157 / 29) = 5,4 Units Per day
(Why only 29 days, because the last 2 days we went to Bangkok and solar was turned off)
We could have gone WAY lower then the 79 PEA Units, but this is already a reduction of almost 40 Units then previous month and SWMBO didn't want to leave it that low, our export has always been restricted to around 0,5kW max or house load ONLY.
In comparison if we leave it running at the full kW the inverter can handle we would in NEGATIVE territory very quick
This is the production graph up-till now (we have it on full export since 11am) because we just got back home late yesterday afternoon.- 3

I am still too young to get a Pension.
May I ask another question?
How will (in 2024) incoming transfers from me to my Thai Wife be dealt with?
I am already sending Money (Via WISE) to my Wife and use sending Money to Family,
Will she need to file a tax return? (She doesn't work)

Unless you import more than around 65K Baht a month, you are most unlikely to have any tax to pay.
You are completely right but I am staying out of the Country until the following comes true ????
2 minutes ago, Mike Lister said:I predict there will be a turn around in opinion and attitude once the coin drops that the effective tax rates in Thailand are much much lower than back home.
Ps: I was already planning on going out (of LOS) in 2024, but I am just staying out a little bit longer.

Thx.
My plan (already set in motion) is to stay in LoS less then 180 days in 2024, this to wait and see what these new rules will bring.- 3

Yes that could be so. But it will not be clear until the Thai RD provide guidelines and details. It is only on that basis that it is wise to 'stay under radar' and not lodge a tax return. If the Thai RD guidelines and details (when they are provided), make it clear that we must do a tax return and that we must prove the money is not income, then to not lodge a tax return is very dangerous.
Question please.
Does that mean that it is better that you do a tax return even if you only stay in the Country less then 180 days in the year?
