We have on a length of 16 meters only 2 downpipes (steep roof) (one in the beginning and 1 on the end), and they manage even on a heavy downpour, but as I said on my post above, SLOPE of the Gutters matter.

Don't use the "steel" ones that the guys that drive around trying to sell them, we used it in our House in Pattaya because it was cheap but it needed replacing after approx 2+ years, rust everywhere. One thing have a competent crew install it because you want the gutters slope to the drains.
