Guess Im having my hat for dinner......
555 recall your post. HP sauce makes everything taste better.

And issuing arrest warrants for unknown people seems strange to me.

Does every tambon make T-shirts, flip flops, etc? Every OTOP I go to has loads of junk on sale. The name is also being used incorrectly. The OTOP market in Patong has beer bars.

Excise is the biggest. A few others are lower like the health tax. Check the net. Basically the same as imported minus import duty.

I am getting updates on Phuket forum, but news is from last Friday. Anybody else have this problem?
-
Honest mistake.

Better for your health in more ways than one. Sorry, had to say it!

Strange indeed. That section of road is actually pretty flat. It looks like the section where it goes from 2 lanes into 1, just before the temple.
If he stalled the engine, would the brakes stop operating?
Imagine coming over the hill and seeing a bus in your lane going backwards? Brown pants anyone.

Took a taxi last night in Shanghai. 8.8km @ RMB 30 (THB 165).

Went to Jims a few years ago for non Imm B. Dropped off docs and he did it all. No need to go to consulate myself. Fees were reasonable.
-
Moved some money back today at 6.44/$. A few days too late. Not so bad vs. the THB.

I was wondering if anyone had tried. A pre-req is you need a meter. Problematic if none in Rawai
or Kathu. I guess my chances in Patong are nil.

The numbers that the gov comes up with are always dubious, but these are year on year. More useful would be month on month.
Good news is required now, so expect these y-o-y numbers for the next several months.

Near me, Karb Gluay is a favorite restaurant. Phrabaranee Rd in Patong.
If they allow BYO, no problem.

TG 665.
yesterday, from Shanghai to Bangkok.
We stayed in the airplane waiting for 4 hours before it took of to Bangkok, only information been given 'Queing for departure".
Traveling economic class no option to charge phone (USB), bad service, bad food (dry bread, vegetable no taste, small wine glass, salad 7 small prawns no dressing or sauce) and after 4 hours on a full and hot airplane bad smell.
Should arrive 21:00 in Bangkok, arrived 01:10.
No smile for me yesterday, and not again.
We have had Chinese Air Force drills overhead for the last few days in the afternoon.
Shuts down the airspace. Unaware of any other major airport that continuously suffers
from this?

Should also do a blood test for elevated iron. Hemochromatosis is common in northwest European ethnicity.
Low testosterone being a common side effect.

Not sure why changing some cabinet members would spook investors? If anything, quite the opposite.
Obviously, depends on who the new people are. Experienced, qualified, etc... in their field and not a party hack.
Let's see who he picks.

Lao Kao is the worst. Tax it like beer/wine. Never happen.

We will ground them until we find new destinations to fly them to.
Duh. If these new destinations had so much potential, THAI would already be flying there.
Talk about spin.

GO BIGBLUE !2million THB is not USD 320. 1 Thai per foreigner, I thought it was 4.
(Sorry, I get overly excited knowing there's a Giants fan here)
+1

They need to hire foreigners in the top position in the aviation industry here, but the thai government would prefer that everything collapses then do that. The fear of hiring a qualified foreigner is stronger than the need of protecting the industry of total destruction. It reminds me of isolated countries and cultures like Japan and China 200 years ago. Thailand is literally hundreds of years behind the west, and it's because the elite that control the country refuses to develop.
In fact Thai have just done just that!... they have hired Wayne Pearce ex-Oman Air CEO to advise them.

Good start. Marketing Advisor sounds like a bit of window dressing. They need some core
changes that he won't be addressing. Hopefully, more to come.

At the corner of Sawatdirak Road and Thaweewong Road (Beach Road)??
Haven't been down that way in a while. They should tear down Soi Seapearl while they
are at it. Never really recovered after the tsunami.

Popular in China to bring back small gifts for family, friends, and coworkers.

When I first moved to Patong, Sai Kor wasn't there. When they put that road in with all the additional hotels that needed to be filled, that's when things turned pear shaped.
Rock Garden
in Phuket

Want to get rid of the grass/weeds and cover with stones. From what I've read, not too difficult, but need a permeable membrane to let rainwater through and also prevent re growth. Used Thip Gardening in the past, but haven't contacted them yet. Only around 30 - 40 sqm.
Any suggestions on who to contact? Google search comes up with a few companies, but I don't want anything artistic, just stones.
