  1. Want to get rid of the grass/weeds and cover with stones. From what I've read, not too difficult, but need a permeable membrane to let rainwater through and also prevent re growth. Used Thip Gardening in the past, but haven't contacted them yet. Only around 30 - 40 sqm.

Any suggestions on who to contact? Google search comes up with a few companies, but I don't want anything artistic, just stones.

  2. TG 665.

    yesterday, from Shanghai to Bangkok.

We stayed in the airplane waiting for 4 hours before it took of to Bangkok, only information been given 'Queing for departure".

Traveling economic class no option to charge phone (USB), bad service, bad food (dry bread, vegetable no taste, small wine glass, salad 7 small prawns no dressing or sauce) and after 4 hours on a full and hot airplane bad smell.

Should arrive 21:00 in Bangkok, arrived 01:10.

No smile for me yesterday, and not again.

We have had Chinese Air Force drills overhead for the last few days in the afternoon.

Shuts down the airspace. Unaware of any other major airport that continuously suffers

    from this?

  3. They need to hire foreigners in the top position in the aviation industry here, but the thai government would prefer that everything collapses then do that. The fear of hiring a qualified foreigner is stronger than the need of protecting the industry of total destruction. It reminds me of isolated countries and cultures like Japan and China 200 years ago. Thailand is literally hundreds of years behind the west, and it's because the elite that control the country refuses to develop.

In fact Thai have just done just that!... they have hired Wayne Pearce ex-Oman Air CEO to advise them.

Good start. Marketing Advisor sounds like a bit of window dressing. They need some core

changes that he won't be addressing. Hopefully, more to come.

  4. When I first moved to Patong, Sai Kor wasn't there. When they put that road in with all the additional hotels that needed to be filled, that's when things turned pear shaped.
