The only meaning in Pollacks paintings are what they say about society and the vanity of our materialistic view.
So many things in this world have artificial value that people dream about paying for. The rich and the intellectuals are frequently the biggest fools. Good on Pollack for making a career taking the cash from these deluded snobs.

Change your departure date if you really want to come.
Hopefully you can make an arrangement to get tested in those 48 hours before your plane leaves. First you got to book a ticket and then you have to get lucky that you can get tested in the time frame. 4 days would be easier.

So if your plane leaves North America on a Sunday night, how will you get your testing done 48 hours before departure?

A man of advanced years, quite old enough to know not to stand in the way of a troupe of advancing riot police, who are mentally preparing to defend against violence, walks right up to them, blocks them and starts poking at their gun
belts. He got pushed away. He should have been tackled and handcuffed. but the police were still gearing up to face the crowd.
Being the professional provocateur, the old antifa agent, folded like a professional footballer, and banged his head, (harder than he had hoped, I am sure). When he wakes up, he will be proud of his work though.

I don't think it is a conspiracy, but it is a shame. I do occasionally relent and eat KFC, when stuck in a food court situation. But I only order the original. The spicy tastes more artificial, and it gives you the runs more quickly than the original.

There was even a civil war fought in the US because many in the south refused to abolish slavery. So if I were you I wouldn't toot my own horn too much.
The slaves were captured by Africans, and transported by the Portuguese, for the most part. America was not a superpower at the time. They did use slaves, but all countries had slaves at that time. It was normal.
The difference is that Western culture realized that slavery was wrong and ended the practice. What other culture did that? The horn can be tooted.

What were the other nations thriving in the slave trade?
Different times in history had different nations that thrived, but always there were slaves. Think Romans and Egyptians, China, Mayans, etc... But that doesn't mean the lesser nations did not also run on slave labor. Most of the wars in Thailand, before there was a Thailand, were fought to gain forced laborers.
But only one culture ended the practice and forced the end of it worldwide. Amazingly, that is the only culture people blame for slavery.
Where is the outrage for the slavery that still exists?

Slavery has existed in the world since history began. But it was the predominantly white European nations and the Americas, that ended the practice and raised the standard for the whole world.
Why is it that western nations don't get any credit for making slavery unacceptable; along with raising the standard of living for all nations? That is the true western legacy, in relation to slavery. They are the liberators. They were the first to end the practice.
Africans enslaved their own people for thousands of years. The slaves that made it to the Americas were first captured by black slavers.

1 hour ago, FarangULong said:This. Approximately 80% of Black men killed in the US, are killed by other Black men.
It's just further proof, of how dumb and ignorant society is. Instead of bothering to fact check, they gobble up the race-hate fueling <deleted>, peddled by an ever increasing number of "liberal" (I use " " because classical liberalism is almost dead, and really I mean left/far left) media outlets.
Blacks males in the US commit more than 50% of violent crimes, even though Blacks (as a whole, so not just males) are only like 15% or so (too lazy to google, but it's around that) of the total population. Yet far more Whites (unarmed also, yes) are shot by cops. White cops, Black cops, etc. Who is "protesting" (rioting) for them?
There is no conspiracy, or racist police force killing "unarmed" Blacks. And I especially hate the non Americans, who constantly run their mouths about how often US police uses firearms. Your own country 9 out of 10 times doesn't compare. For example, it rarely - if ever - happens in Germany, the UK, etc., that when a cop does something as banal & mundane as a traffic stop, someone pulls out a gun and shoots him dead (because he happens to have an arrest warrant out for multiple felonies and/or a few ounces of cocaine in the car, or whatever reason). It doesn't happen all that much, that the cop is actually knocked down, and then the guy gets on top of him and starts punching his face in. Even if said assailant isn't reaching for the gun while doing that, the cop has no way of knowing if a) the guy will beat him to death once he's incapaticated, or not; b) if the guy will then steal his gun, and c) use it to kill him, and/or maybe someone else with it.
The law for self defence and third person defence is almost the same pretty much everywhere in the Western World (with minor variations). If there is a PERCEIVED (and that is the important bit) threat to your life, health/bodily well being, or that of others, you are entitled to defend yourself. Meaning in a fist-fight type situation, you do not actually have to wait for the other guy to punch you, before you can knock him out/incapacitate him. It is enough, that you can reasonably except and thus PERCEIVE a threat, ie. him squaring up + balling his fists, while moving toward you and even verbally threatening that he's gonna hit you. By extension the same goes for the use of lethal force. If you perceive a threat to your life, you do NOT have to wait for it to manifest, you can shoot (or whatever) first. As a cop, that goes even more.
So please, people. Do some research. Don't believe everything the media tells you, about these supposed innocent angels (with an arm long list of felonies on their record, usually), unarmed as they were etc., were killed by racist cops, who have nothing better to do than to murder Black men.
Also wasn't there just recently a Black Police captain, who was murdered? Blue lives matter. Black lives matter. White lives matter. Hispanic lives matter. Asian lives matter. Aggressive felons, fighting the cops/resisting arrest and endangering the lives of cops/other people? Hmm, not so much. "think about their families mimimi". Yeah, ok. Think about the cops families too. They are often highly underpaid (it varies from state to state, and even from City PD to City PD... some make as much as 100k/year, others do the job for 40k/year), get put into extreme situations, and just want to go home safe to their family. And they do it, so you can life in reasonable peace and safety, and have the right to talk <deleted> about them and call them pigs etc..
Those are some statistics worth protesting over. If black people in the States are Committing more than 50% of the homicides, then where is the outrage for that? That is a shocking statistic.
And what the heck are people in other countries doing protesting American civil issues? Have you no issues in your own lands? Americans have created their own problems by encouraging victim status and putting race issues front in center at every opportunity. All of this coming from the same far left sources all the time. Constantly inflating civil unrest. Keep telling people they are being oppressed and that their problems are someone else's fault, and they will believe you.
If they had a protest against the globalist manipulators like Soros, I would join in.

You want to help black people, find a way to stop them rioting. They are destroying their own communities, putting their own people out of work.
They were much better off before the riots. All they'll get from what they are doing is an even more dysfunctional relationship with authorities and virtue signalling from white liberals.

Why did they choose to throw the economy under the bus ?
Is that a mistake or what ?
Asking the real questions.
It is amazing how the world's billionaires and mega corporations gave absolutely no resistance to the lock downs and the shuttering of the economy. Did they suddenly develop a conscience or did they predict a favorable return?

I can find tickets to Thailand on travel sites, but I am sure I won't get a boarding pass. My sister in law says I am not trying and I should just book a ticket and go. I would like to know if it is possible to get there from Canada.

I would love to know as well, As their rules are now, there is no way to enter Thailand as a foreigner unless your occupation is on a very short list.
Also, what about people who have had Covid 19? Is there a way to get certified that you already had it and don't need a vaccine.

That's insane, they should test it in China.
-
Yet the government expects foreigners to have proof of being COVID negative before granting entry (plus other requirements). People without COVID can't get tested just to get a form filled out.

still quarantine for a recovered person?
in COVID-19 Coronavirus

This really is an important idea, I am fairly sure I had covid back in February. If I took an antibody test now that shows that I did, it would make sense I could travel to Thailand. But I have heard nothing about this. Why quarantine the immune?
