Health Covid Cases Surge: Chula Expert Sounds Alarm on Rapid Spike

Although I disagree with some of the categories for getting a DTV (cooking class and 'influencer' for example) it's perfect for digital nomads. But as @NoDisplayName rightly points out, any genuine applicants shouldn't be 'just over the border waiting to be let back in, trying not to spend all their money.' I have a DTV and I really hope that the bad eggs don't ruin it for those who deserve it from merit. Let's hope that, as others have suggested, the delays are partly due to bad applications. Although I feel it could be the consulates and embassies not being as fantastic as the Thai guys at HCMC.

Recent trip to UK with Qatar air- A very sad, heartbreaking visit.
2long replied to Scouse123's topic in General Topics
I'm currently in the UK, in a nice area down south, on a month's vacation. Every year prices are going up (except petrol recently) and shops are closing. If it was for the UK's great weather, delicious food and beautiful girls, I would hand my passport back. Oh, hang on a mo! 🙄🙃🧐 -

Report Expat Confusion Grows as Thailand Cracks Down on Helmet Law Violations
2long replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I have ridden bikes in BKK for more than 20 years. If I ride locally, I don't wear a lid, but on bigger roads... always! We all know 'it's a risk you take, and it's your life/head/brains.' We all know the cops here are corrupt and lazy. I like the way Vietnam sorted the problem almost overnight. However, Vietnam isn't Thailand. There's as much chance of this working NATIONWIDE and by all people and at all times (like in Europe) as there is of stopping Thais gambling, lying, going to the temple, cheating on their wives blah blah blah. It's just the way they are. And let's face it, many of us who live here live here and love it because of how they are. Things won't change, and it's sad that too many people die on the roads, but the corruption and law breaking and innocent dishonesty is what makes the people of this country great. -

Report Expat Confusion Grows as Thailand Cracks Down on Helmet Law Violations
2long replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Does wearing a helmet prevent accidents? Although I'm am fully supportive of the law (it worked in Vietnam), the actual wearing of a helmet is protection during an accident, not reducing your chances. Going the wrong way at the wrong speed and while drunk are things that need to be cracked down on. -
Report British Holidaymaker Dies in Bangkok: A Mother’s Heartfelt Warning
2long replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The headline and paragraph 5 conflict each other. The headline suggests one died, and 'lost her life alongside her 32 year old boyfriend' is a bit ambiguous because maybe he didn't die. But paragraph 5 suggests more than one death. Very confuzzling. 🙃😕🥴🧐 -

Report Vietnamese Sex Workers Surge in Bangkok Amid Visa Policy Concerns

Just one. And don't forget, they don't always tell the truth about age, gender, how many kids and boyfriends they have, so why trust them about nationality? -
Report Vietnamese Sex Workers Surge in Bangkok Amid Visa Policy Concerns

I'm sorry but NO WAY are there more Vietnamese 'working girls' in Thailand than Thais. -
Homosexual behaviour, homosexual sex, and cross dressing are three different things in my opinion. I reckon a lot of kids copy their friends, especially in single-gender schools. That could lead them to do the same in adulthood. Apparently some fellas just like dressing up as women. There are also guys who don't 'act gay' but like a bit of sausage. Each to their own, I say, a long as no one 'homos me.'

Health COVID-19 Cases in Thailand Surge to Ten Times Flu Levels
2long replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
How do you KNOW this? Covid is too new for any real research. And although I'm not a conspiracy theorist, the modern era of MSM and AI, there's potentially a lot of 'fabricated facts' online nowadays... and I'm not just referring to this virus. -
Crime Wife Threatened by Drunken Husband, Stabs Him Dead During Struggle

I'm not sure how you can 'accidentally' stab someone at least three times in three different locations on the body, but I wasn't there so I could be wrong. -
Thanks

Does anyone have any recent first-hand experience of buying tobacco when leaving the airport? I cant find any on King Power's website. Ideally would like to get some regular Drum on the way this week. Thanks in advance.
