Why do they want to make it the regional HUB ? why Thais must need such recognition from others ? This airport is a mess , on my way back last week I had to wait 40 mn for my luggages after walking 600m to the immigration and queue for nearly one hour ..... arrived at 7am left the airport just before 9am .... WELL DONE this is how you see this "Regional HUB" stop jocking and ACT . that would be better .. Bangkok will never be Singapore , Seoul or Hong kong ..dream on !!!!

And the driver again fled the scene .... WOW what a courage Thai drivers have ..... impossible to face their responsabilities .... maybe he didnt even have a driving license . Will we have that kind of news everyday ? It seems truck , car or buses accident are a daily practise in Phuket..... that comfort me in the idea to AVOID phuket more and more .

At least in Thailand he can have a VIP treatment and with his money he can buy whatever he wants ... sure for him Thai jails are like 5* hotels ...

finally some good action .. This morning on my way to the office ( I take the toll way everyday ) a blue bus going to Korat was speeding at over 110km/hour not to mention the different vans driving over 120km/h .... just hope EVERY vans and buses will have this tag in the near future.

very sad story , as a sailor myself I can tell boating accident could be the best for murder as no one can prove anything in anyway .,.... just hope its not the case here , I guess no one will even know the truth ..

Sad indeed. But also sad to see all the barstool-judges around here. You don't know what happened, but you are all ready to put the blame on the truckdriver. What about an unexperienced Swedish driver, new driverslicence, rental car and driving (for a Swede) on the wrong side of the road ?? OR

a Thai driver in the Swedes car, trying to impress the young ladies ??

A very sad story , RIP . did the police find the driver ? He should rot in jail for the rest of his life , those trucks are so dangerous , last saturday my friend in pattaya was nearly killed because a truck didnt stop at the red light , thanks god he only have 2 broken ribs but he could have died because of stupidity and total lack of driving knowledge from those people. Thailand roads are far more dangerous than any other places.

maybe a route Moscow Phuket would be better no ?

I just arrived in Bangkok yesterday after 10 days in Moscow , big noise over there about Lanta tour and stranded tourist around the world. but nobody can do anything except to pay their trip back home. I feel sorry for those people .. I was stranded in dubai few years ago when the airport was closed by the yellow shirts. I know what it means ...

Well in a country where to kill someone cost as little as 10,000 baht ,there are little chances to find the "boss" of that crime . One more time they have a suspect and sometime its more than enough. I doubt about the happy ending of that story ..... what a shame !

Kittirats a good guy - let him have a chance before criticizing. (Yes, I actually said something positive about a government minister). But I have met him several times, had dinner with him and talked quite often. He has a good head on his shoulders.

That's why you dont have anything negative to say about him .... you mentioned it few times ... you saw him several time and had dinner with him ...

so after all the warning from US Embassy was REAL ... why the Thai government said it was not true then ..... another great example of Dont see Dont tell Dont talk ....

Let see it that way ....if something happen ,its always better to tell ,you have been warned . If nothing happen then , no problem everybody is happy .. but at least true or wrong its only a warning ...nothing else .

The yellow shirts ,the red shirts ,the floods and now this ....... not a good time for Thai tourism .....
