why only American warning , any other embassies sent their warning ? soundds strange !

everywhere you walk in night market , the beach etc ...vendors sell porn movies , patpong or patong or pattaya are not really convents either .. did that ruin the image of the country to see all those gogo bars ? bars with hookers dont ruin the image of the country for sure ....

Phuket is so wonderful nowadays ..... road accidents , murders , jet ski scams etc ...... I really should think to go there for my next holidays ....

I've never been to Phuket, and never had a desire to visit. This is obviously a targeted killing, so no threat to visitors (unless caught in the crossfire) but it just seems like a sleazy place to me.

Phuket aka Hades. Never been there (despite my wife repeated requests to pay the place a visit) and have no desire to go there. Far too many Farhangs and crooks there. Better go to Koh Chiang before the spoil that paradise island.

Phuket still has some nice areas ,just avoid the Patong/Karon?kata .... the rest should be ok ! Koh chang was also nice but my latest trip I was so disappointed than I never went back . that's sad ! I remember Phuket 20years ago was paradise .

I just wonder our Australians are treated in Thai jails ? or is there any racism among white there too ? If this student has nothing to fear over there , they should send him back ..apparently he might have issues by not wanted to go back to Oz. who play with matches burn his fingers.

oh well ,nothing new as we would see normally here with people in power or with money in front of "little" people . This area is the biz class check control for TG ,many time I saw "so called "VIPs" thinking how different they are from the rest of the common people.

When they will learn that law is the same for everybody .... but I guess they intend to forget easily .. Money talks again !!! how sad .... I wonder if me or another foreigner would have done the same what would have been the consequences . probably jail or big problem ...

Terrible ..... I feel so sorry for those people . but once again , no helmet , driving in the wrong direction , too many people around etc ... there is nothing more to be said .. those accidents will never end until a severe change is done in the mentality.

Well ,in a city like Bangkok where its a nightmare to organize a Gay pride as in many other capitals around the world , the different governments or Bangkok city hall never really show how interested they could be in such event , there have been some gay pride in Bangkok but roads was still open to traffic ,not easy to walk when surrounded by cars. That's only an example .. Usually people really dont mind about gay unless one member of their family come out of the closet ... life for gays in Bangkok is better than many cities such as Moscow , Riyadh , Beijing or even pyong yang . There are still a lot of way to go for a total recognition of the gays around the world ... even in the mid west USA people are more narrow minded than Thailand .

NOTHING will ever change here as people dont want to change ...

Yes sure ,its always easy to blame internet ,..... blame also the car manufacturers for all the road's accidents .

It seems those numbers dont scare anyone here .... Government doesnt care at all ,otherwise the policy of thai way of driving would be changed for a long time. I hardly saw a country with so many bad behavior drivers .... except in Africa perhaps ...

Well , if people here would have at least a little knowledge in driving , road safety etc ...The problem is those bus companies who give big machine to drivers who know nothing about driving . We see that everyday on roads in Thailand , Buses racing on vipavadee with passengers in , buses changing lanes every 2 minutes ..the list is to long ...not to mention Bangkok city buses which already killed so many people ... and what is done to avoid this ? Nothing of course ....

Oh well ..... there are so many thing to say about those speed boats , jet ski etc ...... too long to tell .

Thats what happend after so much drinks ..... guns are not safe in the wrong hands and too often are used for personal vendetta. We dont know what happen in that case ...women , money , gambling etc ..... oh well it happen anywhere but too often here .

Too bad the official announcement is in Thai language .... I dont know much Foreigners who can read thai ....

The responsible are the 2 governments , The democrat for not having see the seriousness of the fact in Ayutaya as it started in july and the actual government for very little action ..specially to sacrifice the whole Bangkok north provinces to keep BKK dry . We cannot blame only the actual PM. I am not an expert but for sure something different could have been done . Lets hope that will not happen again for the next rainy season .

Well ,for those who lost so much during this flood ,its totally understandable . I would do the same if I was not a foreigner ... I also lost a lot .
