Can anyone explain to me in Janet and John language exactly what the situation regarding 3G actuall is in Thailand at the moment?

Easy , the 3G network is only onthe paper as it doesnt really work ....the 3G here is as fast as a 1G in other countries ... LOL

Those people know they are in power for very short period .... they need to fill their pocket as much as they can ( also their louis vuitton bags) Nothing new in this ...20 years here and 20 years of greedy politician. See that , done that ... nothing will ever change as corruption is in the genes of the people and at every level.

Okay, so let me get this straight:

The truck driver perhaps dozed off behind the wheel or was drunk - as usual;

The truck driver fled the scene of the accident - as usual;

The truck itself possibly had flaws that made it unfit for transporting dangerous cargo - as usual;

The transport company generously shelled out the astonishing amount of 3,000 Baht to a gravely injured bystander - as usual.

I must have become insensitive by living here for too long, because none of the above raises even an eyebrow.

thats what usually happend in a third world country ...and sorry to say but this is a third world country .

Its not very clear on the video what happen actually ... I will say ..those security guard act like if they were policeman (come on they are only "guard" LOL) and maybe the foreigner was disturb by the heat and the baloons of the kid. Miscommunication for sure as those guards hardly speak english. I dont think its necessary to publish this kind of stuff no ?

if you want to develop tourism here .... you can check what other countries did and succeed and correct what can be correct in Thailand.I dont think appointed the PM as international presenter is a good idea .. Let the PM do her job as PM .

automatic gates , good but its for Thais ... what % of foreigners and Thais travel at Suvharnabumi airport ? I often noticed some officers are faster than others ... maybe a good training should help also. But for a new airport as Bangkok , that's a bit of shame !

I think we are used about the "funny" ideas from TAT or Thailand in general. I agree , there are many things to improve if you want to attract more tourists. The infrastrcutures are here you only need to do a VERY BIG clean up .... remove all hookers bars , oh sorry bars with hostess...have a better city planing , some nice roads , nice pavements without all those street vendors, remove all jetskis , corrupt police , corrupt mafia taxi ... Ad maybe one or 2 casinos to attract people with money ....and let Mickey mouse in the drawer...

another motorcycle accident in phuket ..... and no helmet apparently . When people will start to understand that a good helmet can save your life . Isnt it hard or complicated to wear a helmet ? In Vietnam I never seen anyone without helmet. In Bangkok its all the time ... Sad story again for that guy. I thought the law in Thailand said helmet is compulsary .. maybe I am wrong .

sorry but all major capitals there are more than one airport .... they can keep some flight to phuket or chiang mai at Suvarnabhumi as those are popular destination and send the rest in DM. included low coat airline. Create some buses shuttles between the 2 airports and it will be ok. Schedule departures according to arrivals in suvarnabhumi ... it works in other cities why not in BKK ?

oh come on , not everything is that bad here ..... except maybe thai airways ...I always thought Singapore airlines and Cathay were the best Asian airlines ... as a former passengers on TG I gave up some time ago for their louzy biz class ...But its true anyway Thailand is one of the best Asian destination ...if you remove the : hookers, scams, traffic, taxi scams , jet ski scams , the rest is nice , great diving , excellent food , beautiful beaches ( there are still some) nice weather . .

oh well Happy Songkran then ..... I wont be here again this year ... I usually take this period of time to go to Europe.

Foreigners can buy cars here , if you have a work permit , a job and incomes. I owned all the cars I bought under my name ....

I never wanted to buy anything in Thailand , beside being here for 20 years .... too risky .... as you dont even know if you own your house , your land , your condo ...... too bad I buy my real eastate abroad where countries dont care about this details. You cannot bring the land on your back if you leave the country .... this over nationalism sometime disturb me .
