    At least.... Fortunately they do seem to get on with the job of repairs to the beach and a good job too, it looks an absolute mess after a rainstorm, (like Normandy in 1944). If ever they let things slide there would be an end to tourism.

    Would that include the 14 million arrivals in the first 5 months of this year? Apparently these were better quality tourists than the larger numbers in 2024!

    I am impresses actually. It is one thing to stiff them for the bill, but to borrow from the owner to tip the staff is astounding!

    They do it in Thailand, mine used to be quite routine about it but these days it seems to be an occasional thing. No extra charge on the bill like the hospitals do thankfully!

    It really is a stupid thing to do, pop in the bathroom leaving your belongings sitting open and a coconut bar worker in there.....

    I am not a big fan of deflection wrt these problems. Pointing elsewhere is not going to resolve anything. I am not sure legalizing would benefit either, perhaps in some cases. Heroin and fentanyl are producing a lot of deaths. A liberal approach in Philadelphia hardly seems beneficial. They need to be kept away from people, especially the young who are of a more addictive and experimental nature.

    We used to regularly see bar closures enforced for infringements of one sort or another. Your comment made me realize I had not heard of such an event for a good while. Now it is simply bars failing financially.
