  1. Sorry, not looking for an argument this morning.
  2. Sometimes there is too much rain.... a family member has lost the rice crop due to flooding in Tak province.
  3. So they pay for it? You are taking us off topic.
  4. Horrid wallpaper, thankfully behind when in bed!
  5. We had one heavy thunderstorm about 10-12 days ago overnight that caused some flooding in the usual areas..... beyond that little. So there is no flooding situation.
  6. Well done, a useful and polite answer!
  7. Chatting to a guy on the Pattaya bus who had booked a hotel in Bangkok on Agoda.... when he arrived it wasn't there, had not been there or open for 3 years, yet still taking bookings on that platform. That said, I had just left a nice hotel I had booked on that same platform and everything was fine. Coincidentally, my place was over 2000 all in, with breakfast, his a bargain price.

Yeah, that's the other load of crxp they come out with.... the dead are in no position to comment. Its like arguing 'died of or died with' of someone with an axe buried in their skull, plain silly.
  9. Yes, those are the nightmare scenarios one gets into in the UK too, especially London. Potentially a year or more without rent, yet responsible for utilities, mortgage, rates and legal fees..etc etc.....Many sad cases where someone inherits the family home they grew up in, and then see it wrecked without any income and plenty of expenses. World has gone mad!
  10. I was in there once and it looked pretty good... but not getting the custom.
  11. That advice seems to contradict the comments of a pal who used to rent out in the UK and has relocated here. The law made renting in the UK a daunting prospect with the way councils prevent one evicting... or at least make it a long drawn out process..... not so here.
  12. Yes, with the price of condos, some of the houses and models of cars going around there does seem to be a lot. Pity about those living rough though, quite a few of those.
  13. The new top man got in just in time!
  14. Countries have been giving out free money for many many years... they are called benefits in the West. They come from taxes,,,,,, and coincidentally, Thailand appears to be dreaming up a few new ones of those!
  15. He seems to suggest they were dotted around Pattaya too.... seen a few but could hardly compare them to the plethora of weed signs.
  16. What are you talking about. Hamas fighters broke through the border barriers onto Israeli territory, murdered and kidnapped and took hostages back into Gaza......
  17. Yes, my Mrs' sister met her Thai husband there and their time working set them up for when they returned. My Mrs got their youngest for some years.
  18. Chinese, always leaves you hungry for more.
  19. I believe they were in Israel rather than Gaza... kidnapped and taken there.
  20. I'd guess the fight is more about, land, rights and freedom.
