  1. Time to get over it perhaps.... having the food served fast and hot, but having to wait for rice until it is cold already, is part of the fun!
  2. Yes many do seem to be clumsy and lacking in experience.... thinking they might know their job is an error. From the bug sprayer who poisoned my fish and another who sprayed the liquid into electrical sockets, and a gardener who sliced up my water pipes with his strimmer.......to the pool servicers that sprayed water on the pump to clean it!
  3. I doubt there are many established condo car parks without an abandoned car or motorcycle in them... probably a few owners have to make it back from Covid absence... if they survived. I know one guy with 3 cars blocking prime spaces, two might as well be abandoned. .
  4. I was looking for some yesterday and saw none....have they been moved? I am hopeless and can only ever find beer in the fridge,
  5. I get that in the bars but they usually are friendly.
  6. I guess motorcycles would have to have been replaced by then too......
  7. The freshly baked savories are no longer available..... used to buy a couple of those to enjoy in the food court or later at home.
  8. Sadly it is the penultimate box......
  9. Used to pick up a rib-eye steak as a treat now and again back then. Don't bother nowadays.
  10. Heck no.... high rents and key money make that unlikely
  11. Certainly not the case in Big-CX Pattaya after 10am at weekends.
  12. I believe the constant stream of tourists includes a few recently retired from success back home, with a bundle of cash and ambition and an inability to put their feet up. They may well soon learn Thailand is a different beast... Owning property in the entertainment zones, and a renovation company is the way to go!
  13. They mostly do not pay income tax, that is true, maybe for Thais too.... but they don't get a rebate on sales tax nor excise taxes.
  14. Point well made...... I was looking at the same, mouth agape, just this morning!
  15. You seem overly sensitive..... I said absolutely zilch about busy bars.
  16. Well I have a different opinion. In LK area today I saw quite a few bars under renovation. That indicates optimism for the future and high/peak seasons. Pulse, Pandoras and Champagne Club, plus a repurposed place I hope to see open soon, Fever A-Go-Go. This is on top of relatively new LK Angels and Las Vegas.
  17. The Disco Club (LK Metro), strangely up for rent rather than for sale.
  18. Oh yes, very much so.... but she struggles to get in and out of the vehicle too, and complains of any bumps in the road. We have a wheelchair, and zimmer frame.....I recall my last visit to The Sanctuary had some rough areas, steps etc....she also doesn't enjoy the struggling. I wouldn't waste my own time going to the floating market in Pattaya......
  19. Lot of Walking in some for the elderly.... me included. Got elderly MIL with me now... so limited physically can't take her anywhere much!
  20. Has the malaise transferred from soi 15, Walking St then?
