  1. Thailand doing well, they won 2-0 against Chelsea Corpulents a couple of days ago!
  2. Damn stuff is causing so many problems,, should be banned!
  3. Yes I lived in Al Khobar area..... one of our Saudi drivers would be away over the bridge every Thursday quick as a flash to go drink beer.
  4. I do not hear of people getting bans outside of overstay or criminal behaviour.
  5. They have opened some shops over the railway line......
  6. Not correct, it cannot be 'regardless of the distance,' zero distance or 2 or 3 laps would vary the price.
  7. Well the Thais seem to create rather a lot of disturbance and are scofflaws...
  8. He fell over his own feet, Thais want people to stay down.
  9. The answer is no, if you get off at the same place you got on without moving, it's zero. else, yes, 10 baht. .
  10. I got on one and got off at the same place, as he squeezed more people on.. I didn't pay 10 baht! Or did the driver accept a contract to take the passenger until he asked to get off, for 10 baht.. and he reneged on that contract?
  11. I thought the bridge went to Bahrain!
  12. On what basis is the 5 year entry ban.......? They were not on overstay that I know of. I have no problem with the concept of banning them, but would it not need some criminal conviction first? From what I hear (toy policeman pal) , they usually all go to the police station, hand money around, a few handshakes and wai's, and are released to go about their business.
  13. It might be a fire hazard for lit cigarette ends.
  14. They didn't pick anybody.. the older guy slapped someone.
  15. Well didn't they confess to get the sentences commuted which means no appeal...? Anyhow... bet a Friday night drunk gets more time in jail!
  16. One will be packed with Hi-Sos for a junket. With 330 seats there is plenty room for all the Senate and a few other cronies... just make it a one-way trip!
  17. This has happened to me and I just jumped out and walked off as we had not gone far.
  18. And they paid a premium for the sea-facing rooms! Thais got a taste for Pattaya during Covid and soon after.....can't get rid of them now....whatever happened to Baeng Saen?
  19. Be okay for the Islands don't you think.... keep the hospitals busy.
  20. Bangkok drivers..... you can tell when they are in town as they make it difficult for the bikes to worm their way through to the front.
  21. Not sure one needs to go through all your recommended palaver. They simply look for easy marks and mostly would move on if you stand up to them, ie go looking for easier targets. I guess it is intimidation.....I would ask to be taken to the police station..... Oh and stop smoking you litterbugs.
  22. He didn't seem cowardly and quickly attacked the far bigger man after getting slapped. Enraged was my impression. Damned fool Brits was my thought.
  23. IIRC Thai Newspapers carried some gruesome pics way back!
