I love the smell of Ganja in the morning.....Not
Yeah, we see those signs warning of fines all over the place, for smoking, parking, littering, not wearing a shirt etc etc. Not sure what gives people the right to impose fines on others..... Has it worked? I just do not see it working. Are there telescopes stationed in the building opposite. Like the condo ban on pets, we still see little Benny the Pomeranian being lovingly transported in the lift!

Large Truck Crashes in Chonburi and Traps Seriously Injured Driver and His Young Son
I was having food at a place nearby a big intersection only last night, near where Hwy 36 meets Sukhumvit actually... a badly designed junction at best. Many trucks at sunset, most appeared to be driving fast and in my mind rather recklessly considering how much harm they can do... yes 2/3 up motorcycles (no helmets) in the mix there too. Dangerous places Thailand's roads.......

No argument from me... rude people too I found.

Controversial Thai Tourism Fee Postponed Again
All of that is why it keeps getting postponed. Airlines do not want to become an unpaid tax collector.... and segregating Thais from non Thais is onerous.

Thailand braces for liquor industry disruption under Move Forward
No it really started to increase in price about 3-4 years ago.. my Mrs used to buy herself a bottle each month so I heard all about it, Then she refused to pay the price, now I am buying cartons of wine to give her a drink before bedtime.. and that isn't cheap. I was played like a salmon!

Thailand, UK strengthen ties towards strategic economic partnership
Last I heard it had been rejected and unlikely to be debated again soon.... maybe after Scottish independence... the Jocks will get a pension rise!

Thai vaping trend: Rising e-cigarette use among youth sparks health concerns
At first i was very positive about these things... selfishly thinking I would not have to endure the exhaust stink from some selfish smokers again. But now I am reading people get addicted and have a lot of lung problems from them.

A tip box at the the immigration kiosk,,,, ? You see them a plenty elsewhere! He could sit and glower at you doing nothing until you dropped a few coins in there.

Thailand braces for liquor industry disruption under Move Forward
Yes, perhaps the excise tax was added to import duty....tell me about it. The Mrs likes a glass at nighttime and I find it pricey... foreign brands of beer, made in Thailand are expensive too. (SML and Heiny for eg). Imported moreso..... lifes pleasures do not come cheap,

Two deaths linked with cannabis use and violent incidents reported in recent days by Thai police
Have I said that somewhere.?. I do not believe so. Let me explain it to you again.. I have no ability or the authority to reverse any legal matters pertaining to anything in Thailand. I made a comment supporting the medical use and availability for that purpose, 'more power to it' I think it was.

No, but her place was immediately taken up by someone who died of the shock of seeing her sit up in her coffin!

Thailand braces for liquor industry disruption under Move Forward
They do...Regency is supposed to be very good.... but it got expensive!

Thailand braces for liquor industry disruption under Move Forward
But why wine particularly.... ? Some countries it is not even allowed. Taxes in luxury good, like sports cars is even higher than the 60% import tariff on wines. Traditionally the 3rd world has always hit non essential imports tax wise.......If removed from wines, taxes would have to go on something else.

Two deaths linked with cannabis use and violent incidents reported in recent days by Thai police
You have your head in your own fundament.... people like me have no ability to impact ' limit where and how and how much cost will be involved' here in Thailand. Doing my 90 day reports here is simple, near trivial, so you know little of that too!

Don Mueang Airport ranks among the most dangerous airports in the world
Yes, horrific. That would put DMG a bit higher then!

Yes, we need better lighting to spot the holes and roadworks.

Near Tragedy Averted: Vendors Rescued from Electric Shock
I've had a whack from both...... neither was fun but can't say I ended up in a position to compare. I was once in the sea and got a presumably 12vdc shock off a boat, and that was noticeable. In Thailand it is more about shoddy work, lack of protection and grounding.
