This is about Thailand, You need not worry that your right to have weapons in the USA will be impacted. So don't let your fear get the better of you.

Perhaps the parents took them....... Thais seem to feel differently about such things. I have had friends die here and my Mrs has got involved with the arrangements..... she took some odd pics and asked if I wanted to see them.

I am not sure if immigration require the 800k to be verified as freshly arrived from overseas to get the O-Visa.. I have heard of that. If you have plenty of money, an agent can take care of all the steps for you ...(I even read of it being done without leaving Thailand.) Some agents charge a good amount for all of the steps. (Obtain O Visa, then retirement extension, total 15 months stay). There is an agent on Soi Post Office does a cheaper price and fair service. If you have the 800k sitting there the price is much less.

Just been reported on UK's Sky News with interviews from the hospital and with victims parents. So they got a team up there very quickly. It may not be so exceptional for USA News, but it is a very unusual event here despite gun ownership being quite common. The wails of parents was rather upsetting.

Yes such times can be very trying, I went through similar with my mother but have regrets I was not there for her enough.....a lot of services were available but many had to be paid for..... I talk to friends back in the UK and they seem to get a lot of treatments and support, one just had cancer treatment and it was exemplary. I feel it is very much a postcode lottery though....

Sorry to cut your post but just for efficiency. The UK does offer palliative care and there are hospice places that take care of terminal and suffering patients. But so many want to be at home .... only really works if they have family who can be fully involved. I still believe the UK NHS offers a good service....

No, it took a pandemic and dearth of tourists. Losing one lane and traffic stopping as parkers maneuver into position is hardly likely to improve flow. Pattaya really needs ways to reduce traffic flow into central town, rather than accommodating more of it. Funny that, when the extra lane was built some 7-8 years ago, it was to improve traffic flow, now apparently allowing vehicles to park in that lane will do the same? A row of parked vehicles is going backwards, a nice clear view of the beach and sea would be more attractive.
