  1. It is not an impossible task but there is no one brave enough to attempt it. There are a lot of good Police officers but for some reason they do not get promoted. Call it peer pressure if you like.
  2. If you really want to help the poor people of Thailand you Know what you should do. None of that is going to happen. Here is a hint, one main thing is to stop corruption. More infrastructure? More ways to get brown envelopes. My friends village got money for a new road, the budget for that was enough. The road only went half way, money gone! Where is it?
  3. Brown envelopes tend to blur vision i was told.
  4. In this case a casino and the police did not know anything about it! How strange.
  5. A little of topic but here in Cha-am we had 60mm in just over two hours.
  6. Good on you losing the weight. I have bought a fair share of clothes made by tailors in Thailand. Most tailors do not have their own company that makes the garments. It is outsourced to other people and i do believe most tailors use the same sewing atelier. The quality of the work will be the same for most every tailor and you get three fittings most times anyway. So what the tailors are doing is just measuring and provide the material. The real quality part is the material,a cheap (inexpensive) suit is made from cheap material. Pay more for quality material and you will be happy with the product for years to come.
  7. You can buy very nice property for that price, many nice islands to be had for that kind of money. https://www.privateislandsonline.com/search?availability=sale
  8. Oh,stop it! Enough of this stupid joke! I should never have responded, just put a plug in it ok?
  9. Would you like to be tied down that way? Well whatever makes you feel good, bondage for you!
  10. That could be a sticky subject,
  11. He is mentally ill,his care takers should get the stick not him. He has to go to court, probably to assess his state of mind but i doubt very much he will do time.
  12. I saw them for sale on Lazada!
  13. More and more Thai families in trouble, more loan then income and no outlook for better times soon. Sure a wage increase but that just fills half the hole. You can not eat hope.
  14. And just whom could those dealers be connected with? It is a mess, isn't it?
  15. Going to find one self sounds very much like running away to me. Thinking somewhere else things are going to be better is just procrastinating . If you are at peace with yourself there is no need to go find yourself. I really do not like that expression by the way.
  16. I have really never had it,all we had is the fresh cream we skimmed of the fresh milk from the tank. Tasted ok i guess.
  17. Running away from yourself is not the answer, because that is what you are trying to do. First of all you have to learn to accept who and what you are and learn to like yourself. Once you have done that you can go take off some where and you know you will be in good company, yourself! Been there done that.
  18. Coffee mate?
  19. Not sure the Ruskies would want to blow up that dam. It is the main water source for Crimea and that is still illegally occupied by russia. Without fresh water for irrigation it would not be of much use for them,,,,,,,,,unless deep down they know they will have to retreat from there. A few more bombs on the bridge and things could get worse really fast.
  20. Did you read what the guys t-shirt says? I bet he has no idea !
  21. I mentioned a few years ago that these two topics about music should be joined but the idea got rejected. My argument was that music is timeless and good music can be find any where anytime as long as you are willing to look for it with an open mind. Maybe the time is right, now? I am all for merging these topics so you don't have to follow to different ones. I still find good music i have not heard before in both.
  22. Being stopped by the BIB is not the problem If you get into some kind of accident, that is where you will have a big problem. Most travel insurance policies do not allow for being on a motorbike, even on the back. Most motorbike rentals only have the minimum insurance, pays up to 50 000 baht i believe. If you hurt someone you may have to pay the hospital bill, this is the stuff nightmares are made off.
  23. What happened? I moved here around 20 years ago. Does that answer your question? Do i feel regrets? Sure do,should have moved here 40 years ago.
