Recent trip to UK with Qatar air- A very sad, heartbreaking visit.
jvs replied to Scouse123's topic in General Topics
You keep bringing this up,if you are so curious about this than why don't you try? Nobody really cares if you do,a lot of posters here think you are weird already. Plus if a fat guy in a dress waddles around in Cambodia nobody will tell your mom or your sister. -
I don't think the busses are to blame. Combination of pushy bus companies and drivers with no proper training or under pressure to be somewhere on time. Sure some of the busses are unsafe but that can be prevented and fixed. Drugs are also in the picture sometimes. Why protest? Same as the bike taxi protesting the use of helmets,it is the law and it has been for a long time! A well maintained bus with a sober qualified driver is what is needed to avoid accidents Easy to do but the greedy companies want it all ,abide by the law and you will not have these problems. Regular safety checks for the vehicles and on announced drug and alcohol test for the drivers. I see so many badly maintained busses and trucks,i am surprised not more accidents happen.

Ukraine Claims Underwater Strike on Strategic Crimean Bridge
jvs replied to Social Media's topic in The War in Ukraine
So much for the people who are saying Zelensky is not holding any cards or he played his last cards. I would almost say Zelensky is getting ready to play his best hand. How many more pillars have explosives tied to them? -
No i do not condone this behaviour at all but telling every one what would happen if you did this in the US does not help any one now does it? Because this is Thailand and Thai laws apply. I live far away from any tourists area so i can avoid idiots like that but that does not mean i do not come across idiots on the internet.

European Union woes: Poland’s Nawrocki pulls a upset!
jvs replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
Yes he won but just by a very small margin. Fair enough,he won. Claims are he was helped some how by trump but that will be clarified i would imagine. The problem with this is ,he is willing to take the EU free money but he does not like EU rules. There are other countries like that,we will see how this all plays out. -
Did my first 72 hour fast two weeks ago, planning on doing longer next time.

No not sarcasm but it seems to be the level of intelligence of MM's is not that high. Uneducated,as trump puts it himself.

I have heard rumors about that but not sure if it is true or not. That may just turn a few diehards MM's against trump, specially the ones on AN. -
Russia is being attacked? Wow,just imagine that. Maybe if putin had not invaded the Ukraine this would not have happened.? Gas sales to Europe, bye bye. Trade with Europe, bye bye. If putin is allowed to attack civilians in the Ukraine is the Ukraine not entitled to attack strategic targets in russia? Please do not post any more debunked stories about the poor people of russia, and why they had no choice but to attack the Ukraine. Russia started all this violence!
-
oh i am sure russia does not want to attempt to invade Finland. What i meant was the fact that when Putin invaded The Ukraine it caused Finland and Sweden to join NATO. That in itself caused Russia to have an even longer border with NATO. At least one of the excuses for invading The Ukraine back fired on a giant scale.

We bought a Tefal last year, before that we had another brand but it was flimsy and did not last. This one was a bit more expensive but we use it a lot and so far is working fine.
