  1. I stayed around the corner from this place last month. It does attract some professional drinkers. But they were usually early starters (breakfast) and early finishes. RIP
  2. I was there last April and none of them were busy. And wow was it hot outside.
  3. Following someone on Facebook isn't the same as knowing someone.
  4. The bars along the strip near the Pullman have survived - kinda. My Bar is still there, I remember when it opened. One of the scouse owned bars is gone. The one on the end furthest away from Tukcom at the end. There were a lot of farang wandering down the street but not too many customers. Sevens is a coffee shop. #1 Bar is a vacant lot. 😪
  5. Whatyourpardon? Of course she did.
  6. So where has he been in Thailand for all of this time? Issan or Pattaya would be my guess.
  7. Mr Egg has the advantage of having working in Pattaya for 20+ years he will have returning customers who come in and see him, his content is irrelevant to those dudes. He is very informative. I remember when Nick used to be just an occasional vlogger, his content was decent with 'little Nick'. He does a decent job marketing his bars. I rarely see them busy, however.
  8. I was there for the NYE just before the Vid closed everything a few years ago. I was also in CM in January and March of this year. I lived in CM in 06-08 and there were many more tourists then then at any time since I have visited since.
  9. I have lived in both. CM has a cold season which is really nice. The pollution in March and April really sucks in CM, it is definitely worse than the pollution in KK. CM is a tourist town, or was. Which makes it more lively, but since the Vid tourist numbers are massively down. CM is better, it just is. Korat is better than KK. Move to Joho!
  10. Very sad news. One of the good guys from back in the day.
  11. The Mall is the home to a number of chain schools and there used to be a branch of the British Council by the lake.
  12. When I lived there the Corner Bar was owned by a Scottish/Kiwi former chef, they did a decent Christmas dinner. The Corner Bar was owned by a teacher from the local school and they had a pool table. They were the best 2 bars in town. Damn. Sad to hear that they are both gone. I am back in April. Where do people go for beers now?
  13. Are they still there? It has been a while.
