  1. I reckon he works for the MPAA or the RIAA. "Shut up and give us your money" 😉
  2. No worries. It can be a bit tricky to use, the station names can be confusing. IIRC correctly, Hua Lamphong is "Bangkok" and the flashy new terminal at Bang Sue is "Krung Thep Aphiwat".
  3. No, you don't need insurance for a "Retirement Visa".
  4. Time for you to go home mate or are you stuck here because reasons? I hope that's the case, it makes the schadenfreude all the more enjoyable.
  5. this'll learn 'em...
  6. So tell K. Nattapong at TT because nobody here can do a damn thing about it. Please update us with his response to your written complaint.
  7. Yeah but X is a stoopid name and nobody wants to use it.
  8. It's called DCC, Dynamic Currency Conversion, and it's a scam. There should be an option to decline DCC and use the standard exchange method, but it might not be so obvious (for obvious reasons).
  9. Fitty Cent. There, I fixed it for you 😉
  10. SUV is quite the happening place isn't it?
  11. Meat is murder.
  12. No that's not rich, that's normal.
  13. He says he earns 500k baht per month from legitimate sources. Bow before his greatness, peasant!
  14. It would seem that there is a monthly quota of free top-ups. The first 20 per month are gratis then it's 5 baht per. So top up sparingly, CP doesn't need any more satang! 🤭
  15. @BritTim New passport then, or are the wait times too long in the UK?
  16. Fair point. I forgot about neighbouring countries 🤦
  17. All those fees are reasonable for the service they're providing, in fact it's very cheap. I'm sure you're aware of all the ins and outs of using them for the without financials route. If not then maybe time to do a bit more research. And no they can't do the TM47 online and neither can you if you live in another province. You can either EMS or courier your passport to them and they EMS it back, or you go to their office in person and either wait around for it to get done or return to your home and they'll EMS it back.
  18. More posts the better, keeps the lights on.
  19. We already know what penalty he will get if he leaves via the airport, it's been mentioned half a dozen times already! 🤦
  20. Yeah I use the Voda AU app, or the website when the app isn't playing nice. I looked up the current offerings from Vodafone and the cheapest 365 day plan is $40. Hard to tell if they're still offering it to new customers though, the wording is a bit ambiguous. I'll hazard a guess and say that they've grandfathered you because you were an existing customer with they doubled the price a few years back. I rejoined Vodafone in November 2021 after a long absence.
  21. Visa exempt 30 days, extend once for 30 days, border bounce for 30 more days. Simples.
  22. No, no flair at all but very practical and you get to see a cross-section of humanity that you wouldn't otherwise see. Also a bit more civilized than one of these evil things...
  23. I switched from Aldi to Vodafone just prior to retiring to Thailand because I figured they were a safer bet than "Medion" or whichever Telstra reseller it is that Aldi uses. I too use the prepaid 365 day option but the price is now A$40 via the app/website. Where do you get your recharge vouchers? I could do with an extra twenty bucks in these inflationary times 😉
  24. Not the smartest kangaroo in the bush are ya cobber?
