More Multiple Entry non O Woe's
Lemsta69 replied to Bday Prang's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Your application was initiated before they started "system maintenance". For new applications the only available option is Single. Create a new application and see for yourself, I CBF uploading screenshots. So, even though the Multi-entry visa may not have been taken off the table (remains to be seen), for all intensive purposes it is currently unavailable via thaievisa(dot)com. -
How do you think Thai people REALLY feel about Farangs?
Lemsta69 replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Would you rather they follow the English open door policy and become the Islamic Republican of Thailandistan? No booze and no adultery then, so be careful what you wish for. -

Right, so I'll hit the pharmacy first for a jumbo pack of Imodium. I know a place near Robinhood that does a nice discount. -

Do you live near a kebab shop? I'm well hungry after a big night last night and could use a proper feed, not "light refreshments". -

Foreign Tourist Attacked by Hostile Youngsters in Pattaya
Lemsta69 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
The term "farang" seems to be slowly morphing from meaning "whitey" into a blanket term for all foreigners. In the same way as "decimate" has been debased into total opposite of its original meaning. It's also not "farang" anymore, only pedants spell it that way. Acceptable spellings here on AseanNow include, but are not limited to... falang fallung farlung felang ferrang 😂😂😂 -
Ayam Brand is a Singaporean multinational. Ayam means chicken in Malay in case you didn't know. My favourite type of chicken is "ayam malam". Anyone who's spent any time in Indonesia should know what that means 😉

They're only making a reservation on your behalf, not purchasing an actual ticket and issuing a ticket number. That would require a serious amount of capital which those onward ticket outfits don't have. If a check-in clerk or an Immigration officer who knew the score were to look up the PNR on the airline's website then they'd see it was an unconfirmed flight and react accordingly. Goodness knows what that would be, I've only used onwardticket(dot)com once a few years ago and the Thai lass at TG check-in in SYD barely looked at the printout 😅

I'm not following the war too closely so I don't know what stage they're up to but I think they might be at the point where they ease off on the bomb strikes and start the real dirty work of getting down in the tunnels. Good luck to 'em. BTW, just to settle the argument, here's what carpet bombing actually looks like..
-
Who said anything about Iran joining the fray? I was just pointing out that the beardy guy in the quoted article about "carpet bombing" is not in charge of Israel, at least not yet, so it doesn't really matter what he thinks or says as it will make zero difference to the outcome.
-
I know exactly what it is and Israel aren't doing it. Period. They don't have a bomber squadron and they don't have the ordnance to carry out area bombing. A BUFF carries a <deleted>-ton more than 8 bombs, try 70,000 lbs per aircraft. If they had the hardware and actually started carrying out area bombing then Gaza City would be rubble right now. Which they wouldn't do because it would be counterproductive. The US bombarded Iwo Jima for what was it, two weeks, and the Japanese just waited it out in the tunnels then fight the GIs virtually hand-to-hand.
-
I'm OK with it. He probably said that after seeing pictures of the remains of Israelis who were with together with wire and burnt alive. If that happened to my people I'd be calling for a lot worse than that.
-
It's the standard eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth stuff you expect from that part of the world, been hearing it since Bible school. I don't know why you're getting so upset by it, it's not like this guy is in charge unlike say Ayatollah whatsisname.
-
You clearly have no idea what area bombing is.
-
JDAM ordnance costs a heap of money and Israel doesn't have an unlimited supply. So I'll hazard a guess and say that most or all of the bombs hit their intended targets, as opposed to the IAF just flying around looking for targets of opportunity. Why there were civilians in the area when the bombs hit? Best ask the leader of Hamas who uses his supposed brothers and sisters as human shields and blows them up when they try to leave. At any rate, your description of the Israeli bombardment as "carpet bombing" is just plain wrong therefore hard to take anything you say seriously.
-
I read the article and saw nothing wrong with it. It's exactly what I'd expect from that type of person. I did read some of the Bible when I was a kid.
-
Clearly not, otherwise they would have banned the Q'u**n years ago. Also the UK is not at war, Israel is, so I don't know why you keep mentioning the place.
-
Of course it does. Area bombing is indiscriminate, at least within the fairly tight target range. Israel are using precision laser-guided missiles and are targeting specific buildings/infrastructure, not sending up a squadron of BUFFs and flattening the joint. Not that they have a bomber squadron, USA keeps that stuff to themselves. At least they're making half an attempt to minimize civilian casualties, unlike the terrorist death cult they're fighting against.
