  1. Yeh this has been talked about in other threads; it's almost impossible to find now. For Android you'll have to download the APK full from a third-party website and for Apple the last I read was you need an iPhone bought in Thailand and that has only ever had a Thai peeson's profile added to it (or something like that).
  2. Different distribution methods. Film & TV is much more monopolistic than music/radio. Torrents are legal but sharing copyright-protected content is not. So not for everyone.
  3. Because the rights-holders are dead set against it and it'd get shut down PDQ. That's why people use torrents.
  4. That reminds me of a photocopy my mom brought home from church one day, it had all the "Satanic" bands on it that one should avoid. I was a bit miffed to see Led Zep listed as well as Ozzy Osbourne et al but apparently if you play Stairway to Heaven backwards then you become one with the Prince of Darkness. Lord help you if you smoked weed as well ????
  5. the poster I qouted was just having a laugh as cannabis is being blamed for all sorts of evils the days. reefer madness is the official term (Google it) ????
  6. I found this on the AIS website... https://www.ais.th/one-2-call/sim-netmarathon/en/
  7. Roong Rueng coach co. online booking platform indicates that they have buses available on that date for Swampy to Jomtien: https://pattayabus.com/ As does https://12go.asia/en
  8. Yeah I saw those pictures and it did look pretty cr*ppy, not like the good stuff you can get in the West. I was just having a laugh anyway, I read this story elsewhere before JT posted it and I'm not overly fussed. They're not the only nation to look down on other countries cuisines, heck I do it myself ????
  9. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/ Contact Us at the bottom of the page. Sorry, never tried calling myself so no idea if they pick up or not.
  10. “Another netizen says that the point of eating boring white people’s food like crackers, sliced cheese, and sliced ham is to understand what it feels like to be dead.” Crackers, cheese and ham is yummy! If they think it's bland then maybe that's because they've ruined their taste buds with too much chili and soy sauce ????
  11. Oh, I guess I misunderstood your OP. Thought you were looking to buy eGLD for staking returns. I have a few eGLD but not sure how the project will fare in the coming years given the recent tinkering they did to MEX.
  12. Not so, you can stake eGLD and get eGLD in return. MEX and XMEX and all those other tokens are a sideshow. Unbonding period is 10 days. Staking info & APRs here: https://explorer.multiversx.com/providers
  13. Well the short answer is no, you can't apply for a SETV using the eVisa website if you are in South Korea and aren't a legal/permanent resident. You can either go back to France where your French passport gives you the "right of abode" or fly to a nearby country that accepts applications from foreign nonresidents. You might want to have a look at recent threads about where it's easy to get a tourist visa in the region, or start a new thread, as I'm not up to speed with all of that like say BritTim or DrJack54.
  14. No, it doesn't use IP address, you select your current location from a drop-down box. See screenshot below from the eVisa website.
  15. Yes, but only at embassies or consulates that are willing to process applications from foreign non-residents. Not all consulates want to deal with foreigners, is been that way for a very long time. If you were previously unable to obtain a tourist visa in-person then you won't be about to get one online either. Did you even start up an application on the evisa website? If so you'll see that the application will be processed by the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul. Based on the info provided by @sandyfSeoul will only accept applications from foreigners who have residency status in South Korea.
  16. I've never experienced such an effect so I guess you got "lucky". However since I started hearing about the potential liver issues I don't take paracetamol with alcohol anymore.
  17. I get twinges near my liver too, but Sheryl told me in another thread that the liver doesn't have any pain receptors so it's referred pain from somewhere else. Dunno where, that's the problem with referred pain.
  18. If you feel that strongly about it then why not send your feedback directly to The Thaiger as it was them that wrote/approved the headline.
  19. If everything was up to scratch here cobber you wouldn't be able to afford it. You'd be paying 20 bucks a pint like back home in Astraya. Be careful what you wish for...
  20. You have to have a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock if you're a foreigner who wants to become Thai. That's some next-level self-hate.
