had an "IgG" antibody test done on Jan 3 and had a tremendous value of 8000
Did you get the antibody test done at a private hospital in KK or at one of the labs, what was the cost?
Thanks

Yes, parked at level 3, rode the escalator to level 5 and breezed through the procedure in the Vaccination Hall, with my step-daughter acting as translator, whilst I smiled sweetly from behind my face nappy and signed a couple of forms which were in Thai. There was a choice of Sinovac, Astra Zeneca and Pfizer. The whole experience was an absolute delight!
Thanks for that, maybe the previous was rush due to a huge demand for Moderna only available yesterday, and not offered to you today and maybe now the allocation is finished its quieter.

COVID booster update: I pitched up at Central at 1025 this morning for my 3rd jab; and I left to return home at 1045. The whole process, including the obligatory 10 minute wait after the jab, took only 20 minutes. At no time was there a queue at any of the admin desks and I just sailed through. I'm well pleased!
The only difference compared with the previous two visits last Sep and Oct is there is no hard copy issued and the details go on the app.
Thanks for posting, thats amazing difference to the local reports of the last couple of days,.
Did you go straight to level 5 of central plaza and was their still a vaccine choice.?

Which was what?
I got my booster.
Did you?
That it was a vast crowd scene which you need to be prepared for along with very long waiting times.
Leaving my attempt until the last day and meanwhile exploring any alternatives options.

Was waiting for your done and dusted scenario report. not about not being bothered to respond I can assure you and of course many thanks for the info you have posted it confirmed what others have suggested.

Cant get this translated is it saying you must queue up for a number between 7-30 to 10 am and vaccines administered 10am to 3pm.
if any one has a simple translate program and can post the translated version of this it would be great,
Thanks

I wonder if the 48 year-old male truck driver, who stopped to relieve himself on a motorway, has ever been tested for diabetes?
Why for diabetes ? maybe a bowel problem perhaps he urgently needed a dump? could have kept a bottle in the truck for a frequent peeing problem.
Perhaps a glucose test for diabetes and a colonoscopy a CBC and drugs test, exercise stress test ECG , abdominal ultrasound, Psa and while hes there a full eye check ????

Use the kick start then off to a local bike repair shop to tighten all the cables.
Then if problem remains back to the honda dealer who sold you the new starter to fully investigate the problem.
Good luck

If anyone has their booster at central plaza in the next couple of days would be great if they can share the experience.
Wondering if it will be a horrendous crowd scene with both Thais and Westerners packed in tight or if it will be well organized with a choice of vaccine and an updated certificate to leave with?

Does the time between doses depend on which vaccine you had? I thought it was 3 months for Astrazeneca?
For sure its 3 months after your second dose of Astra Zeneca you qualify for a booster, think they will enforce this already published 3 month regulation, rules must be followed exactly by the nursing staff here.

For those of us In Khon kaen who went through the BKK hospital administered official government free vaccine program at central plaza a few months back, do we indeed follow up or qualify for free booster by a visit or call to Bkk hospital? or go to floor 5 central plaza?
Doesnt seem to be the same standard vaccine booking intervac website as for the initial vaccine.
Covid pretty rampant in KK now with daily reported figures in the city circa 200 however the reality with unreported self tests etc could be vastly different.
This site good for KK covid information after translation.

If you have an ID DRIVER service center near you they can do everything for you to get it all up to date and inspect the bike if its over five years old which is a routine yearly requirement, check lights, brakes emissions. etc very basic test that is hard to fail if the bike is serviceable, they handle all the paperwork with the DLT as a fully legal agent.
Take the bike and book into them you will pay maybe 200 baht on top for their fee but you go back a few days later and pick up the book, tax sticker insurance etc ,is all freshly done for you, no queues or hassle and normally very stress free.

anyone who believes that only 8000 people a day are being infected needs to get a reality check.
I honestly dont think anyone believes the nonsense published figures, especially the generals with their noses in the trough who are responsible for the charade of a government and their daily effluent releases.

You got value for money, including a colonoscopy, gastroscopy and endoscopy.
If that was seven days in government hospital ward for under 13k would be astonishing if that included a full colonoscopy, gastroscopy and endoscopy.! incredible value if correct?
Thats about what you would pay for one night in a private hospital with full blood checks and perhaps a couple of xrays and an ecg and a charge for each fart or for a doctors visit if one passes you in a corridor.

Was offered a saliva test kit at the pharmacy as an alternative to the nasal swab.
Any real differences in accuracy reliablilty? obviously a nasal swab is a tad uncomfortable but if more dependable will stay with that option.

The Xenophobia is astonishing! the returnees from Belgium who were highlighted for spreading the virus in the Issan area were actually Thais.
Far more likely to contract the virus from the Thai population where a vast majority were vaccinated partially with Sinovac and testing has always been discouraged and not the norm unless obviously extremely sick or a fully vaccinated and already tested arriving tourist.

A squid would be more appropriate logo, as in 'Come to Thailand to play our 'Squid Game' upon arrival.'
My 70 year old expat friend from the UK arrived to isolate at his Pattaya hotel on Dec 24 after being in the plane and van with many others.
Upon arrival, his PCR test was performed in the dirty parking lot with swabs left in the open on a table by a guy that didn't change his gloves between tests, and Buddha only knows how many people he tested before him or where and how the swabs were stored.
His results were not 'positive' or 'negative', but simply an ambiguous remark of a trace 'detected'. That would be normal with what is going on in the air all over and around Pattaya.
He was awoken and forcefully taken out of his room by ambulance to be held in Hospital ln Pattaya where they did a barrage of more tests, x rays, blood, urine, all but having another confirming PCR test. He had no symptoms, and was tested in England several times prior.
He had demanded another PCR test which they refused to do. They would not let him see or talk to a doctor. He went on a hunger strike in the hospital for 5 more days in order to get a PCR test to prove he was negative.
They finally relented, and did a PCR test which proved him to be 'negative'. Even now, they still refuse to let him out and intend to hold him for a full 11 days even after proof of this clearly unsanitary performed and contaminated and inconclusive test result. He is being held against his will, and the doors to his balcony have been hastily made and bolted in a way to only partially open to prevent his escape or being driven to suicide by jumping from the 5th floor.
Meanwhile his hotel he booked is still charging him, and his Bangkok Hospital kidnapping bills are being needlessly run up with more unnecessary tests, and are growing. His top notch insurance is not likely to pay for the forced incarceration, as he does not have Covid, nor is he being treated for it.
He says there are at least 30 others with him there that are healthy, but held there in the same situation as he is in. The 'Test and Go to Covid Jail' program.
Do not be fooled for a minute to think that Thailand is freely open for travel or tourism with this current system of random 'Hospital Incarceration Upon Arrival at Your Expense' game being played.
Only come to Thailand when they learn to treat travellers better than they do in Afghanistan.
But perhaps some actually want to come play 'Thai Squid Game'.
if the situation with your friend is as described he should contact the British Consulate and ask for assistance and contact the Uk press with full details and ask to speak to the boss of the hospital and tell him he is sharing the details of the hospital incarceration with everybody and anybody!

A while back they changed it from mandatory hospitalization, if you were not very sick you could isolate at home, has that policy been reversed again?

Uk had 100,000 cases in one day but Thailand total of about a 100 so far.
Clearly Anutin is using his magic powers to sustain a near Omicron virus immunity for Thailand, or could it just be that foolproof tried and not
testedpolicy that sustains the the illusion?- 7

Thanks a lot, very useful.
One question, once you are on the plane, is there any way that the UK could turn back a UK citizen?
Once you are on the plane and you land in the Uk as a Uk passport holder they cannot kick you out, but if you somehow have arrived without correct documentation they could detain you and fine you accordingly.
