Notification of staying in The Kingdom (Over 90 days) – TM 47
UPDATE TO MY POST Listen up, legends. I braved the Jomtien Immigration gauntlet yesterday (04/02/25) and I’m convinced I slipped into a glitch in the Matrix. I rolled up to the 90-day counter at 13:55, bracing for the usual soul-crushing wait and the inevitable hunt for a missing photocopy. Instead, I got my docs checked and a ticket handed to me before I could even break a sweat. By 14:01, I was back on the street with my passport and a shiny new slip. Total time: 7 minutes. I’ve had longer waits for a 7-Eleven toastie. It was so painless I almost felt guilty—almost. Now, all I need is for the Official Thai Immigration Online Portal to actually play nice and accept my next report so I don't have to leave the sofa. If that happens, this bunny will be officially over the moon. If not, see you all in line in May!

Notification of staying in The Kingdom (Over 90 days) – TM 47
Hi all, Just a quick question. When going to Immigration in Jomtien in person to renew a 90-day notification (TM47), do I need to go to the general enquiry desk first to get a queue number, or can I go directly to the 90-day TM47 desk in the building opposite? Thanks in advance 🙂

Looking for a house cleaner .
Hi lovely people 👋 I have reached that stage in life where I am finally ready to wave the white flag, bite the bullet, and admit I need a house cleaner 😂 Before I do anything dramatic, I have a couple of questions: • What’s a reasonable going daily rate these days? • Cleaner would come once a week to do the usual magic – tidy up, clean, floors, windows etc. (no laundry or ironing… I’m not that brave yet 😆) Details for context: 📍 Bang Saray area 🏠 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom place 🍳 Open-plan kitchen/lounge 👤 Just me living here, so it doesn’t descend into total chaos… most weeks 😉 And if anyone can recommend a good, honest, reliable cleaner, I will be eternally grateful and may even name a houseplant after you 🌱 Thanks in advance! 🙏

I have a question about the TM47 (Immigration Jomtien )
Hi, I have a question about the TM47. I did a road trip to Laos and re-entered Thailand using a re-entry stamp in my passport on 15 November 2025. Should I submit my TM47 application 90 days after my re-entry on 15 November, or should I continue using the original 90-day reporting schedule from prior to my trip to Laos? I’m asking because I received an automatic online 90-day reporting email yesterday, submitted it, and it was rejected 😕. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Where to stay Close to Nightlife :-)
Hi folks! I’ll be rolling into Chiang Mai mid-January as part of a solo motorbike road trip (one rider, one bike, questionable life choices). Looking for some local wisdom on where to stay — ideally a nice hotel (not a Cheap Charlie crash pad, but also not “sell a kidney” luxury). Bonus points if it’s within easy walking distance to the Bars & nightlife, and more importantly, within a slightly wobbly but achievable staggering distance back to the hotel. Also keen on bar recommendations — more “sit, sip, and watch the world go by” than full-throttle party animal. Age has kindly informed me that recovery time is no longer measured in hours… 😅 Cheers in advance!

Makro pro online Issues
Makro Pro Online was down for a couple of days due to "maintenance." It's back online now, but I'm noticing some issues: About half of my saved regular items have disappeared Around 50% of my product searches are now showing as unavailable Is anyone else seeing the same problems? Or was this "maintenance" just another classic Thai IT F**k up ?

Retirement Visa early renewal . (Pattaya Immigration)
UPDATE You can renew you retirement visa 45 days before it expires ...(well it worked for me anyway lol ) the only trouble was there wanted a Bank statement a full year from when you apply 45 days early and not a year from the actual expiry date of the visa.... a pain I had to go back to my bank a second time for a statement which was 13 month not just a full year .. so be warned

How long is the proof of bank funds valid 4 Pattaya immigration?
Hello all, Quick question for anyone who has recently renewed their retirement visa at the Pattaya immigration office. How long is the proof of bank funds valid for? I know some places can be particular about the dates. Is it okay to get the bank letter and update my bank book the day before I go to immigration? Or is it safer to do it on the same day as my renewal to make sure it's as fresh as possible? Any recent experience would be a great help! Thanks!

Could this be the Final nail in Pattaya's coffin ??
Hi All, Bit of a heavy topic, but it's worth discussing. If the whole Thailand-Cambodia situation really blows up into a proper war, what's that going to do to our beloved Pattaya? Could this be the big one – the "final nail in the coffin" for the Pattaya we've all come to know (and sometimes grudgingly love)? Or are we looking at a double whammy, with even more hoops to jump through for visas and staying put? I'm not trying to be a doomsayer, but let's be honest, Pattaya hasn't exactly been on a strong rebound after various setbacks and new rules over the past 15 years. So, is this the "final swan song," or will we just collectively stick our heads in the sand and pretend it'll all be fine? Keen to hear what you guys reckon.

Using a Thai Banking App in Laos
Hey everyone, Quick question for those who've been to Laos recently, or if anyone has the latest info: Can I use my Thai banking app (like Krungsri, Bangkok Bank, KBank, or Krungthai NEXT) to scan QR codes and pay for things in Laos? I'm thinking about shops, restaurants, general bills – the usual stuff. It would be super convenient to avoid carrying too much cash or dealing with currency exchange if I can just scan and pay. Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot!

Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD)
it is not possible to temporarily import a motorbike into Indonesia without a Carnet de Passage (CDP) or Temporary Import Permit (TIP). A CDP is specifically required for temporary import of vehicles into Indonesia, even if the motorcycle is already registered in another country.

Overland Adventure: Thailand, Malaysia to Indonesia Bali & Komodo – Who's In?!
Hey everyone! I'm cooking up an epic overland motorbike trip this November and wanted to see if any fellow adventurers are keen to join! The plan is to ride through Malaysia, then freight my bike overnight to Indonesia. I've tentatively found a local agent to handle the bike's shipping paperwork, and I'll take a fast ferry to meet it the next day. Once in Indonesia, the real island-hopping begins! I'll be making my way to Bali, with the ultimate goal of reaching Komodo Island to see the dragons in their natural habitat. This has been a huge bucket list item for me, and I can't wait to make it happen. Is there anyone out there with a similar spirit of adventure who fancies tagging along? Let's hook up and see what these incredible roads have to offer! Drop a comment or send me a message if you're interested.

Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD)
Hello everyone! Has anyone successfully obtained a Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD) for a Thai-registered car or motorbike while living here in Thailand? If so, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience and the process you followed. I was previously told it might be possible to apply for one in Malaysia, but it seems that service is no longer available. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Certifying my passport,(for bank proof of life)JP or similar Jomtiem areaJP
I think you need to tell us your country of birth and which country issued your passport , so people can help ...each country has different rules and regulations for proof of life etc.
