You are not as efficient a spreader though, because you are not sick and therefore you are not coughing and sneezing. They still don't know for sure if vaccinated people can be hosts and spreaders. It's just a likely assumption at this point.
Presumably you would still need a negative COVID-19 test to enter. If it meant I could skip the quarantine then I’d be for it.

Apparently they do have an idea, and it is a good one! Its about time they started taking drunk drivers off the road.
If you disagree with that, then imagine having your child, wife or other close family member whiped out by some drunk idiot. After that I'm sure you will realise that this is a good thing...
yeah it’s a good thing but what about the sober idiots as well.

That's just not true for testing anybody that asks to be tested. I was at BNH Hospital at the end of August for a full day of screening during which I also obtained my Flu shot. I specifically asked both the primary doctor and then my endocrinologist if I could have a Covid test completed as well. I was told that unless I exhibited a list of symptoms that a person was required to have then a Covid test could not be completed. They also indicated that if I was exhibiting the symptoms they require, that I would be tested and then sent to one of the hospitals set up for treating suspected Covid cases. So do not tell people that anyone can be tested who requests it.
I requested a test in Hua Hin in mid July for work and it was no problem. Paid the bill and received the result 24 hours later. I have had 3 more tests since then in 3 different countries, all results received within 24 hours. Starting to get used to a stick up my nose

How can you get health insurance that covers COVID 19? In Australia as far as I am aware there is no such insurance ! They also exclude pandemics , does anyone know of any companies that offer the required insurance ?
many thanks
I have Company provided insurance and they have been sending me emails since March that they are there to help me and that they cover all COVID-19 related illness. Hope I don’t need to use it. The insurance company is called NowHealth (Singapore) and the plan is called worldcare I think. From memory I think it cost around 3-4K US but don’t quote me on that

Yesterday I tried to go to the alternative quarantine website and there was no response from the URL. That’s the URL on the Thai embassy website in Australia For applying to go to Thailand So I don’t know if that was a temporary glitch or just the norm.

3 in any one year period rings a bell, but i may be wrong.
I did 30 day entries for 14 years but stopped when it was becoming scrutinized and now do Non O's.
I used to use the 30 day on arrival all the time up until about 10 years ago. Then one time immigration at Suvarnabhumi told me they would not let me in again and I needed to get a visa. I have been on multi entry non ‘o’s ever since. For a one year visa they are not cheap at $300 Australian dollars gone up $75 dollars in last 2 years. My wife’s visa to Australia cost $114 and is good until the end of her passport which had over 3 years left in it at the time. At little off topic but just sayin

They should bite the bullet and appoint a non Thai as CEO. I'd suggest they approach the Japanese guy who turned JAL around, he worked miracles there.
They would need to replace more than just the CEO. They really need to replace most of the top management with non Thai’s and then let Thai’s compete against foreigners for the top positions. It’s going to be very difficult to survive even if they change management but it’s their past management that put them in a bad position before coronavirus came along to begin with. I feel sorry for the front line workers, who, in my experience do a good job. At least that has been my experience flying Thai

Acting executive vice president sounds a very dramatic and yet, inconsequential job.
Just says the actual vice president didn't want to be the one to say it. Putting Acting executive vice president in front of his name was the carrot and the stick will come later

I just went to immigration at Thai Yang and it was fully of people wanting to do extensions. I took one look from about 10 meters away and decided to go back home. I’m not going to take the chance of getting infected

Everyone who was here before March 1st is probably immune by now.
What we really need are antibody test certificates and things might start to look a bit normal by end of April.
There are worse countries to be on lockdown.
Why do you say that? I have been self isolating for almost a month for work and have not been ill, so there’s plenty of people still vulnerable.

My wife says 5,000 (Kanchanaburi) but I guess they can charge what they want.
I'm told if you present with Covid-19 symptoms the test is free

When running away and not following the law has been instilled in the people for decades, you can’t say you didn’t expect it to happen

The foreign principal at my daughters school that has Cambridge accreditation told me that he won’t display the accreditation because there’s a push to charge a lot more money if it is, and he said he could not justify it. So how are schools going to pay for these teachers? Only way I see it is to raise fees?

They both should face penalties and in real world arbitration in a maritime court they would each be apportioned a percentage of the blame. The ferry appears to be the give way vessel as far as I can tell in the video having the fishing boat on his starboard side being the stand on vessel, but, the fishing vessel seeing that the ferry was not giving way should have taken action to avoid a collision once it became obvious they were going to collide. Key words being in the real world! I will say this doesn't just happen in Thailand, I encounter it on a daily basis throughout SE Asia. Even the US Navy has had some bad collisions in the last few years that resulted in several deaths. So even professionals disobey the rules, sometimes they don't get away with it.

I came in Suvarhnabumi 2 days ago, some time after this virus was in the news. Immigration was quite full, although not as full as I’ve seen it, but there were a lot of Chinese group tours in immigration and I didn’t see any cameras checking passengers temperature like past incidences anywhere in the airport.

Yes. well. English is the default uniquitous language of the world. Thai isn't. It must surely be the responsibility of Thais to speak English, not for Europeans or Americans (both of whom come here mainly for cheap beaches, cheap food or cheap sex) to learn how to order Somtam in Thai or to engage a waiter whose IQ is likely less than 90 in conversation (quantum mechanics anyone?).
Seems reasonable for foreigners to boycott jingoistic little restaurants like this one. It probably isn't very clean anyway and it seems they need a few lessons in how not to <deleted> their customers off.
Cool your titties Parker it ain’t that big of a deal, just grab some fried rice and a beer or two and watch the world go by.

The soldier should be discharge from the Military and prosecuted by the law. Then he should pay compensation to the victim and his family. But I doubt that will happen. He will probably be promoted.
