  1. Absolute minefield !!! best of luck.

Dont forget to allow for shipping, import duty and tax as you are buying from outside the EU.

If importing into Belgium you also need to be aware of "import restrictions" certain items made from certain types of materials MUST have the correct paperwork/licence, not be made from from some types of materials or contain certain types of chemicals or paint etc as they will be destroyed on arrival in Belgium.

  2. Easy Life, (less rules/regs)

    Easy Climate (for older bones)

    Easy Economy (money/pension goes further)

    Easy..."company" (being polite)

so in short life is just soooo much "easier", for those that have planned it right.

Those that havnt, well, soon turns into a nightmare and they cant wait to tell you how its everyone else's fault.

  4. Remember looking a few years ago at Leveno 17 inch, if I remember were 2, about 11,000 and about 16,000 baht.. very poor spec even for back then. feel sure I have seen recently, but all fairly good spec but starting about 49,000 baht upwards. most appear to have SSHD drive or Solid state disk + Good graphics Card with 2GB of DDR5 + 8 - 16 GB Ram [more of a gaming machine]

Must it be a Laptop ? the All in One machines now a day look good value, 19" with i5 CPU + 500 GB HDD + 4GB Ram, between 16 - 20,000 baht.

I think my Lenovo has good specs. What happened to the prices, why did they skyrocket?

What's an All in One machine?

"All-in-One" refers to the new design of the PC, no longer a screen and stand alone box, its "all in one" just looks like a 19 inch monitor with everything built into it, with a separate keyboard.

  5. As I've noted in other ToT WiNet (applies to other services too) threads, make friends with your local tech, get his number, give him and his assistant some 'lunch money'.

Then when it goes belly up (and it will) give him a call direct and get first class service smile.png

Have done this , and whenever I have had problems (very seldom) they are with me within the hour !
