  1. Is he actually in the hospital...or did he just pass through there on his way to the rooftop helipad back in late August?
  2. I'm surprised he hasn't already been moved to house arrest pending his official pardon in the next two months
  3. I doubt he saw much risk involved. Within 10 days of setting foot in Thailand, he had the golden Royal sentence commute from 8 to 1 year. That was no doubt pre-arranged with the one entity whose judgement is beyond question. So he has less than 11 months left in his sentence which will probably be further commuted, if not completely pardoned within the next few months. Until then, he will require his current medical care setup or, when the media interest wanes, full time medical supervision under house arrest. He has had a good long time to gameplan this out and get the players in position
  4. Thaksin re-enters Thailand a month ago. Within 24 hours, he has himself moved to a luxury suite at the hospital. Within 10 days, he has his sentence reduced by 90% by the big guy before his opposition could even get their pants up from around their ankles. Written in the Royal Gazette decree is a line about requiring specialized medical care due to "age" which sets the table to keep him in his luxury suite. Also written in the decree is a passage to the effect that "Thaksin had worked to benefit the country and was loyal to the monarchy, and could use his knowledge and abilities to help the nation and its people...." which sets the table for reinserting him into the government decision making apparatus. By Christmas, an end of year royal pardon spree likely removes the remaining 8 months of the sentence and eliminates the criminal record so that he can fully "use his knowledge and abilities to help the nation and its people". He game-planned this masterfully
  5. Once you've had 90% of your sentence eliminated in one quick strike by the big guy, can a full, Royal Pardon be that far behind?
  6. He's had a longtime to gameplan this out. Looks like he's got all the relevant players singing off the same sheet of music.
  7. For a man with one brain cell, he seems to be prevailing pretty well so far and is clearly still smarter than his opposition
  8. Didn't the monarchy just reduce his sentence by 90%?
  9. I guess you're gonna have to continue imagining that
  10. That would also confirm their fear of this guy and their knowledge that he never was able to be defeated in an honest election
  11. I'm thinking the medical staff will recommend release with follow-up, fulltime home care as his condition can't be properly treated in the jail
  12. He will be released from the hospital to serve the remainder of his 12 month sentence under home arrest as his condition requires ongoing care that can't be properly rendered in jail
  13. House arrest with a live-in, full-time medical staff
  14. One year to be served under house arrest.....
  15. I never could imagine him coming back if the fix wasn't in and all the key players in alignment
  16. My wife told me her sister in deep red Isaan told her a couple of days ago that he would stay at the jail for a short time but then become ill. Presumably, from there the doctors decide that he requires care that could best be provided outside the prison....perhaps under "house arrest"
  17. Maybe the Oligarchs value their opulent lifestyles or some of the highest level military insiders see a political future for themselves in a post-Putin world. Neither would be practical in a smoldering, radioactive Russian wasteland. Perhaps they can choreograph an inside job
  18. The photos I saw on wife's Line account were uncensored/un-pixilated. The school photos could have been taken by anyone at the scene but the one's of the shooter, his wife and child, post-mortem, at their house could have only been taken by first responders and then shared with others so the RTP needs to manage the activity of their people in the crime scenes better
  19. The sheer terror those children experienced in those final minutes is unimaginable and heartbreaking
  20. Wife and I are in the US now. Her village is next door, NongDan. Crime scene photos apparently taken by cops on their iphones were circulated to wives, friends. A few found their way to wife on Line app. Horrific.
