  1. Maybe the current administration wants Thailand to be a hermit kingdom so they have to do as necessary to discourage travel there. So far, it appears to be working
  2. In the US, it went from 100k to 800k a day in 6 weeks and then back down to 100k in 4 weeks. Took off like a rocket, peaked quick and fell quicker. Between Omicron and the other variants, over half the population has probably had COVID at least once
  3. Sometimes the best comedians are the ones who don't realize they are making a joke
  4. And if they want a shot at a reasonably successful high season this year, they need to get rid of them now and start to rebuild trust and confidence that a holiday to Thailand is not unnecessarily risky.
  5. Thailand likely has millions of cases of Omicron active right now. It will dissipate at it's own pace. In the meantime, drop both arrival tests and the insurance scam now and maybe by the end of the year, the world will start to feel more confident about taking a holiday in Thailand
  6. I doubt there's a single Thai University in the top 500 globally
  7. ...And if the falang doesn't get infected in that 5 days of mingling, there's ways around that too!
  8. Maybe they will eventually settle on the right thing....after they try everything else first
  9. "The compliance would effectively contain the disease everywhere......" Not testing seems to be the most effective way to "contain" the virus
  10. No need to close the borders when the disincentives are already in place to deter tourist travel into the Kingdom
  11. Skip the testing on arrival altogether. There's nothing a fully vaxed and tested prior to departure visitor will bring into the country that isn't already there in numbers far greater than the government has been quoting
  12. Drop the tests on arrival if you want tourists to come
  13. Had Pfizer x2. Waiting on a shot of Omicron as a chaser
  14. I'll give Boris credit if he changed after being caught violating his policy. In the US, politicians that get caught like that usually double down on their hypocrisy.
  15. You mean when there's unlimited supply and almost zero demand, you don't raise the prices?? lol
  16. With all the testing done in the US, the CDC estimates only 1 in 4 infections were identified between Feb 2020 -Sept 2021. It's probably 1 in 10 or much higher with Omicron. Looking at the chart and Thailand's testing vs the UK & US, one can only imagine how many actual infections there are https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/full-list-covid-19-tests-per-day?country=USA~THA~GBR
  17. Wonder if the lads over at CCSA slap each other on the back and do high fives when they put together these byzantine "solutions"
  18. But one shot of Omicron gives better immunity than two shots of Sinovac followed by a booster shot of AstraZeneca
