  1. We are working towards a server located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. And are currently looking for a more stable internet connection for our office.

We got recommended to use a UIH link quote: (5M/1Mbps should be enough. If you work with this server you need UIH link or similar service.)

Then we have these 3BB business use 30/3mbit, Im aware of that 30mb is only domestic, but it still measures up to 6-10mbit towards Amsterdam service (checked from my home)

    Which connection is preferable?

    All inputs, tips are welcome.

Around 10-15 people are using the internet constantly.

Get an Isp in Amsterdam that has direct/indirect peering with one of the ISPs in Thailand.

  2. Cable cut seems to have been fixed, I am getting 215 Ping to France now with 3bb 0% packet loss

    3BB -- AMS-IX has an impressive 200-210 ms ping.

Your france destination most likely routed via AMS-IX.

    Cat has only 2Gbit AMS-IX and I get 250ms+, 300ms+, 400ms+ on my True connection via Cat --> AMS-IX

Problem is, not all Euro destinations peered via AMS-IX or other UK/FR links. One of my UK vps for example goes via CAT He.net USA connection to 3BB, while other goes via linx and 270ms. I get 240ms in True and it was 210 ms before.

I used to get 198-200 ms to bbc.co.uk but now it's 350 ms. But still getting 195 ms to LA and San jose

  3. Interesting that the article doesn't bother to mention that there was one, and probably two large Jewish temples on that very site long before this current Muslim temple was built.

The first Jewish temple is disputed, but not the second one. It was built in 516 BC and destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. The Jews were run off and didn't get the land back until after WWII. Then they took the Temple Mount back as spoils of war when they were attacked by several ME countries in 1967 in what's called "The Six Day War."

This Jewish temple was there during the life of Jesus and there is a multitude of reasons that the site is holy to the Jews as well as the Muslims.

    Wikipedia, Temple Mount

The previous temples are also claimed by muslims as they also believe in the same Biblical prophets David, Solomon, Elijah , jesus

Also Before mecca, Early Muslims used to face temple mount when praying.

  4. A little dear for a honda accord, with the money savings I would go with basic model accord. You don't really save any money on gas if you take into consideration you have to replace the battery after around 10 years. You might save some if you put in a lot of miles, but most people don't put in enough for the savings. Basic accord 2.0 starts around 1.3 million.

I think a better option would be the Camry hybrid if you want a hybrid car.

Do a search : honda accord hybrid vs toyota camry hybrid Reviews

appears everywhere the new Accord come out just ahead of Camry..

Does it justify the price increase over the Camry Hybrid? To me it doesn't, that is why I am driving a basic model Accord in Bangkok. I have my Accord for over 5 years, over 120,000 km. The car is still going strong, not a single problem at all. One minor complaint I have is that the steering wheel is too light for my liking. I did get to ride in my friends new accord, a very nice step up from the previous model, the car feels very solid all around with lots of new gadgets. The Camry isn't too bad, but the interior feel loses out to the accord.

Camry hybrid is priced similarly, only a 20,000 baht difference.post-110391-14144674886143_thumb.jpg

    Accord Hybrid: Delightful, dynamic, desirable

Despite its excellent fuel economy, driving a hybrid vehicle is as boring as watching paint dry, no kidding, and you would probably only buy such a vehicle because of its lower fuel costs and eco-friendliness.

But with Honda unleashing its Accord Hybrid, the Japanese automaker has proven that hybrids can also offer the exciting characteristics that conventional automobiles possess - whether it is driving enjoyment or functionality.

The Accord Hybrid is priced at Bt1.899 million for the top version, which may raise the eyebrows of many looking for a decent midsized sedan. The car has now gotten even closer to the Bt2-million neighbourhood that Japanese vehicles in this segment haven't dared drive into.

But like the previous model, the new Accord is a car that many consider a reasonable substitute for German luxury cars like the BMW 5 Series or Mercedes E-Class which cost twice as much. There's plenty of room inside the Accord Hybrid and the luxury level isn't far behind, with top-notch quality materials being used. And although this sedan's performance might not match those of the German powerhouses, it offers decent acceleration and ride quality, along with good safety.

The Accord Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-litre "Earth Dreams" Atkinson-cycle gasoline engine as well as a permanent magnet electric motor. There's a second electric motor that acts as a generator, charging the lithium-ion battery whenever possible. In fact, the electric motor powers the Accord Hybrid most of the time, sending power and torque to the front wheels, while the engine kicks in at maximum revs only when required. A power control unit decides when each power unit is required - electric, gasoline or both.

The gasoline engine develops 143 horsepower and 165Nm while the electric motor generates a whopping 169 horsepower and 307Nm, giving the Accord Hybrid hair-raising performance. An E-CVT (Electric Continuously Variable Transmission) sends power to the front wheels, but this may surprise you: it does not have a gearbox like a conventional car.

I drove the car for a week and for the first time felt that this is a hybrid that offers loads of driving pleasure. There is plenty of torque available during full acceleration, with the VTEC engine blaring out a sporty note. In normal driving it provides the smoothness during transitions and very low fuel consumption.

Honda claims that the Accord Hybrid can do 23.6km/litre, which sounds kind of bullish at first, but if you really try, it can provide even better results. Yes. With the Econ function engaged and gear selection in "B" that provides maximum charging, as well as maintaining a really economical driving style, I was able to get more than 25km/litre, and I was pretty amazed. In general, of course, you'd average about 16km/litre under normal driving conditions, which is still much better than the gasoline-powered version of the Accord.

While the steering provides feel and precision that's commendable (it runs on low-profile 235/45 tyres), the suspension is set for comfort rather than sports driving. Brakes have always been a problem with hybrids - they are usually wooden and require much pedal input. But the Accord Hybrid's brakes have lost that unwanted character, and feel more like a normal system.

I also fancied the interior, which offers good craftsmanship and gobs of space. Rear passengers get plenty of legroom, making it a marvellous company car for executives. Then there's navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, although it would be an excellent idea to supply the rear passengers with USB ports and 12-volt outlets. The top version also comes with a lane-watch assist system that eliminates left blind spots thanks to a camera on the left side-view mirror. It is activated whenever you hit the left-turn signal.

Yes, the retail pricing of the Accord Hybrid may not be too friendly as I mentioned earlier, but forget the Japanese badging and look at what this car has to offer. It's a highly efficient hybrid sedan that is super comfortable and accelerates like a drag car, while costing half as much as German luxury cars of the same size. I've even told a friend of mine - whom I'd previously recommended the Mercedes-Benz E 300 Hybrid to - that he should first check out the Accord Hybrid.

I just watched a US Honda Accord hybrid commercial and Honda was offering it on a 36 month lease. $1999 down, $189/mo for the LX model. Over the course of 3 years that's less than 300K baht. 1.9 million THB does seem a bit dear for the same car.

a new Honda Jazz hybrid is 760k if money was a problem. even a new Civic hybrid is around 1 million.

For me the shock is at 1 year old + price !! http://showroom.one2car.com/carDetail.aspx?car_id=j01140129

for a Camry, the Honda is to new yet.

and at 2 years old http://www.one2car.com/TOYOTA_CAMRY/J15140292 it has lost a million baht.

That hybrid above is not the top model and the other one is not current gen model but last gen.

I'm thinking they have problem in other routers, so now they are redirecting all internet into one box.

Some reference to apostasy in the quran.

[And say [O Muhammad]: 'The truth [has now come] you're your Sustainer: let, then, him or her who wills, believe in it, and let him or her who wills, reject it.] (Al-Kahf 18:29)

[There shall be no compulsion in religion.] (Al-Baqarah 2:256)

[And so, [O Prophet,] guide them; your task is only to guide. You can not compel them [to believe].] (Al-Ghashiyah 88:21-22)

[Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with you, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me' and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as the unlettered people, 'Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?' And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away behold, your duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.] (Aal `Imran 3:20)

[behold, as for those who come to believe, and then deny the truth, and again come to believe, and again deny the truth, and thereafter grow stubborn in their denial of truth God will not forgive them, nor will guide them in any way.] (An-Nisaa' 4:137)

Verily, We sent down to you [O Muhammad] the Book [Qur'an] for mankind in truth. So, whosoever goes astray, he goes astray to his own loss. And you [O Muhammad] are not a guardian over them. (Az-Zumar 39:41)

if any one killed a person, it would be as if he killed the whole of mankind; and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole of mankind - The Holy Quran (Chapter Five, Verse 32).

For those terrorists who kill innocent people by suicide bombs and use religion to justify. Suicide is forbidden

And do not kill yourselves [or one another]. And whoever does that in aggression and injustice - then We will drive him into a Fire. Surah 4:29-30

    Quote

Benny Gantz, the IDF Chief of Staff

We must be honest and say that we fought against brave men, Gantz said during a discussion with IDF soldiers, Channel 2 News reported.

To run up and try to put an explosive charge upon a tank is the act of courageous people.

In a recent interview with Israeli daily Ma'ariv, Mr Gantz advocated aid for Gazans in order to make the ceasefire with Israel more long lasting.

"The people there need to live, and they are caught between Egypt on one side, us on another side and the sea with a six mile fishing zone on the other side."

"At the end of the day, 1.8 million Palestinians live there, and the quiet is also dependent on the trend of creating economic hope there", he said.

  10. Hi Guys

I got my ps4 machine today and all works well although I have yet to delve too deep into it, just a few games of Fifa 15 which was quite impressive. But I decided that I wanted to buy a PSN card (USA region) and checked out Amazon only to find that I must be a resident and have to have a us billing address. I was going to pay by paypal but that account is linked to Bangkok Bank. Is there any way around this as I do not really want to by an Asian PSN card because of the poor choice of free downloadable games.

Thanks for your advice as always

    JAF

I buy from offgamers google it. Its the cheapest psn card i have found

  11. Hi Guys

I decided to buy the japanese PS4 with camera and Fifa 14 that was advertised for under 16,000 bht on Lazada. I have also bought a few games too:-

    Fifa 15 (zone 3/asia)

    Infamous First Light (asia)

    Destiny (zone 3/asia)

The Last of Us (not to sure about which region but its from Lazada)

I have read that its best to set it up with a US PS+ account which I would have to buy from Amazon. But then I read that this might mean that I cannot access downloadable content for the games that I have purchased above as they are asian versions and would need an asian PS+ account. I am also worried that if I set it up incorrectly I might find it hard to play with other players online here or in Australia.

Is there anyone who could give me some advice as to what to do to get the best out of my new machine and which ps+ account is most suitable

Thanks for your advice and assistance

    JAF

PS I am also going to buy a PS Vita in the next few weeks to take advantage of the ps+ account and the free downloadable games.

Dont get Japanese ps4, sure it must be cheaper but you wont be able to claim warranty from sony thai and south east Asia, should something go wrong. Get one from thailand or other countries in the region

  14. Anyone getting slowdown today? Youtube not loading and some international websites also not loading. Ping to google dns higher than normal used to be under 30 now 80-100

Who are you with?  This is important to allow people the opportunity to check their connections on the same provider.

Cat telecom, everything is fine now
  15. I just wish they would triple their "international" speed vs just increasing their push to get people on higher speed plans and tempting them with promotions which gives them higher domestic speed for 12 months. Take the throttle off their international gateway. ..buy more international bandwidth.

    Sent from my Samsung S4

Some isps already have good international bandwidth, if you are ready to pay a good price.
