  1. How anyone can claim that they can trace their lineage back to this or that person in ancient times is beyond me. Even with modern methods and data storage you would be struggling to go back a few generations, we even struggle with the lineage of some of the monarchs. Of course the followers of Jesus and Mohamed made claims, often contradictory depending on which one you read. I believe even Saddam Hussein claimed to have been descended from the prophet.

    Bethlehem Christmas again a load of nonsense, the Christians adopted a pagan festival nothing whatsoever to do with the birth of Christ if he ever existed.

    Some people believe this is the true lineage of Jesus:

    The Genealogy of Jesus

    1The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

    2Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judah and his brothers;

    3And Judah begat Perez and Zerah of Tamar; and Perez begat Hezron and Hezron begat Ram;

    4And Ram begat Amminidab; and Amminidab begat Nahshon; and Nahshon begat Salmon;

    5And Salmon begat Boaz of Rahab; and Boaz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;

    6And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Uriah;

    7And Solomon begat Rehoboam; and Rehoboam begat Abijah; and Abijah begat Asa;

    8And Asa begat Jehoshaphat; and Jehoshaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Uzziah;

    9And Uzziah begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Ahaz; and Ahaz begat Hezekiah;

    10And Hezekiah begat Manasseh; and Manasseh begat Amon; and Amon begat Josiah;

    11And Josiah begat Jeconiah and his brothers, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:

    12And after they were brought to Babylon, Jeconiah begat Shealtiel; and Shealtiel begat Zerubbabel;

    13And Zerubbabel begat Abihud; and Abihud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;

    14And Azor begat Zadok; and Zadok begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;

    15And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;

    16And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

    17So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

    You...my deluded friend...may choose to believe as you wish...that is the beauty of Christianity...

    The beauty of Christianity is that both gospel of matthew and gospel of luke contradict each other on the genealogy of Jesus but that's different topic.

    We should stay on the topic.

  2. Jesus was a Jew, born to Jewish parents in Israel. This was long before anyone ever heard of a Muslim. The Jews had occupied that space for thousands of years. That area contains a lot of historic Jewish and Christian sites.

    Now the terrorists cause a hindrance to people who would like to travel there for their own personal and religious reasons.

    Tolerant and inclusive aren't traits of "The Religion of Peace", even though they have the mosque nearby and are given exclusive use of it. There's never enough for those people. They want the world and are determined to get it.

    Cheers.

    Jesus was a Judean, not a Jew...

    House of David...King of the Jews. There was only one religion(in Israel) at that time (other than the Roman's dieties).

    Frankly, being Judaen in Israel (during the time of Christ) meant you were either Jewish or Pagan. Christ definitely followed the religion of the Old Testament....which was Jewish.

    He observed "Passover" and attended Jewish Weddings (quite the bartender..water to wine, etc). That responsibility typically went to the groom...by the way.

    Yet it was the same jews who killed him or tried to kill him.

    He was considered a bit of a rebel. Yes. But also as a rabbi. Conservative Roman Sympathizers hated that. It is usually the people you hold the closest, that will hurt you. Buddhist can kill Buddhist...Muslims kill muslims....and Jewish kill Jewish.

    What is your point?

    i can go further but i will stop here as the moderator wants us to be on topic

    Ah, the old cry of Christ killers, how medieval.

    so israeli sympathisers are allowed to make medieval claims on Israel and use medieval books( Torah) to prove their claim to the land?

    Of course, Jesus was a Jew. He was born of a Jewish mother, in Galilee, a Jewish part of the world. All of his friends, associates, colleagues, disciples, all of them were Jews. He regularly worshipped in Jewish communal worship, what we call synagogues.
    Jesus's linage can be traced all the way back to Abraham...his tribe was of the tribe of Juda...thus the term that he was a Judean...

    The word jew didn't even exist back then its a modern word.

    And what about the Palestinian Christians ? Who believe in the same Old Testament as the Jews? Palestinians does not just include Muslims.

    Technically correct for now, but based on current trends Bethlehem may end up free of both Christians as well as Jews.

    http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2013/12/christian_exodus_from_bethlehem.html

    Many Palestinian christians choose to be called palestinians and many palestinian christians have also fought for independence or at least a palestinian state alongside Israel.

    Muhammad's linage can also be traced back to Abraham through his first son Ishmael, the land was promised to descendants of Abraham which include jews through his son Isaac and Arabs through Abraham's first son Ishmael.

  8. To correct Euronews, the so called deadly violence between Israelis and Palestinians amounts to Palestinian terrorists attempting to murder Jews with knives or cars, the 'between' part can only refer to some of the attackers deservedly getting pumped full of lead.

    Incidentally Bethlehem was once a thriving center of Christianity but has mostly been religiously cleansed of its Christian population by Muslim Arabs, much as with the rest of the Middle East.

    Jews,Christians and Muslims coexisted in peace in Palestine long before Israel(1948) a view shared by many Jewish Israelis today.

  10. True uses fiber, cable, and xdsl. They are now doing their best to blur what the differences are in their advertisements since I expect the technology terms are over most people's heads. And they like to use the word Fiber in their advertisements now because they know when most folks hear the word "Fiber" they think high speed.

    You will see such advertisements as "FCI" which means Fiber Cable Internet...whether you can get fiber or cable will depend on which technology they have deployed in your local area. Like me, they only have "cable (DOCSIS)" in my moobaan but now refer to it as Fiber Cable....a couple years ago they just referred to it as Cable or DOCSIS since that was the buzz word back then for fast internet. I expect the cable does connect into some fiber optic trunk line upstream somewhere/outside the moobaan which technically does not make it a false advertisement.

    Someone told me true's fiber is not fiber till house but more like this post-110391-14473403628412_thumb.jpg

  11. Anyone getting a better deal, they are not giving anything

    Insurance is quoted at 29,000 baht

    Registration 7600

    And temporary licence plate 3500

    I have asked this as freebies but they insist if I want this as freebies I would have to finance the car at interests rates of 4%, i don't want to finance the car because of the interest. They are offering 20% down payment but I have refused.

    If anyone has got a good deal with their toyota dealership, could they pm me with a reference to their dealership ?

  12. 100K Booking? Wow.

    My only guess is that can only be to lock you into a solid commit to buy - just in case you drive an Everest or Pajero Sport in the meantime :)

    Lol, the salesperson did say I can get back a refund if I change my mind and he showed me fortuner's next year price on his iPhone which showed 1,749,000 baht for the top model. When I asked him will they add new features to compensate for the higher price and he did say that the lower spec model will have VSC and other mandatory safety features but that's just to pass the basic Thai government's new policy.

  13. For all those people who has booked the new fortuner what freebies is Toyota giving you? My Toyota dealer is not giving me anything except 3mm film.

    Plus 100k deposit for booking. I asked him why other Toyota models only cost 5k (Camry,vios etc) for booking where as the top spec fortuner has a booking of 100k and he said because of the popularity, anyway I already did a booking by paying a 100k cheque and it will be deducted from the final price later when the car arrives.

    So in short what freebies or deals you got from your new fortuner and what should I ask for? Should I change the dealer?

  14. The slow connections are because it is crap Internet here. Simple as that. Nothing to do with gateways. It's just the bandwidth for international connections is too small because the ISP's don't want to spend more money.

    I have 12Mb down to Bangkok and most parts of the US, because that is the max of my package, so I wouldn't call that a lack of bandwidth.

    Uk and other parts of Europe connect around 8Mb.

    So why would webpages slowly load with such a speed?

    It is the increase in ping that makes me think.

    I just pinged Phuket to New York and got a latency of 52ms and then to London at 30ms.

    ??????

  15. Every word he said is truth.

    But look at the audience faces. They don't want to hear. They don't want to see.

    Seastallion above is not alone in his vile statement. There is a whole Europe not seeing the flood.

    There is USA not seeing the danger clear and present.

    I feel sorry for Netanyahu trying so hard to reach people who do not want to be reached.

    He must stop crying in the wilderness.

    Time for words is over. Israel has no alternative. It must strike and it will.

    But if it does it with one eye on UN it will lose.

    I am afraid Netanyahu has no stomach for a step like this.

    Was this truth too or does it pass your definition of truth?

  16. We do not even have copper wire in our street so I am sure fibre optic is a dream here.. This is a difficult situation as phone data is so weak here on DTAC 36 that it is much slower than old fashioned dial up. I don't think My'Samsung Note 3 will take a 4G sim. The lack of internet prevents me looking at web pages to even get contact phone numbers. I am going crazy trying to work out a fix. Not having broadband is unbelievably restricting. It is like living in 1960 but not having a phone book or a library handy.

    I found the CAT home page but it looks like it is business focused. I could not see a phone number or a contact link.

    What I really need is a list of internet suppliers alternative to AIS Airnet who might have a mast in a different direction that I can get a line of sight to connect to.

    Phone numbers would be handy too as browsing is almost impossible for me. I live 1 hour from Chonburi or Chacheongsao and further from Bangkok. If I did drive to one of these centres I would not know who to go to for help without getting dicked around. I have been paying I think 600 or so baht a month but would pay a few hundred a month more for a good connection. I do not even have a list of the broadband companies or where their offices are.

    My wife had the steel delivered for a 20 m mast plus the 6 meter pole on top, but I have doubts about my builder doing a good/safe job. I do not want

    So I could go back to Airnet as an alternative if i had a decent mast. A one off payment for a professionally installed safe mast would be acceptable as long as it was not outrageous and it was the only solution.

    I need broadband to live here and am hamstrung to even find a solution without it. (Catch-22.). This is a serious request for help..

    here you go

    Cat telecom contact number : 1322

    True online: 1686

    3bb:1530

    AIS: 1185

    tot:1100

  19. Those people, who call themselves Palestinians now, went to sleep Jordanian citizens on the 4th

    of June 1967, and woke up Palestinians on the following morning the 5th of June 1967,

    where were they all those years not wanting or asking for a Palestinians state?

    where were day all those years not wanting or asking for Jerusalem to be recognized

    as their capitol?

    East Jerusalem was under Jordanian control for many years, while the west side was under

    Israeli control, what makes now Jerusalem to be the capitol of the Palestinians people and

    and where it their lineage and connection to this city?

    And while Jerusalem is mentioned 238 times in the old testament, it's no where to be found

    even once in the Quran....

    I can on and on, but decision by the US supreme court is myopic and a regrettable one....

    first of all its mentioned in the Quran

    Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram(Mecca) to al-Masjid al- Aqsa(Jerusalem), whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing. chapter 17:1

    everyone knows Masjid al - aqsa refers to the mosque in jerusalem

    secondly you should know the fact that muslims do not only believe in the Quran but also books called hadiths and the word jerusalem is mentioned numerous times in the hadiths.

    lastly, all muslims who pray today face mecca but earlier muslims in the past used to face the mosque in jerusalem (which shows the importance of jerusalem to muslims)

    Jerusalem is important for Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

    lets assume based on your theory ( the mentioning of jerusalem in the scriptures) what about the Palestinian christians who also follow the Old testament( not the Quran) in which you said jerusalem is mentioned 238 times ?
