  1. It largely depends on the weather. Recently it was 7 degrees in the morning in Chiang Mai. Nothing of tropical climate. No need to change clothes every day. And when you look like a lot of Thais walk around in dirty clothes, mostly younger men, but even some women, then you don't have to be concerned wearing the same clothes 2 days or more. By the way: Vietnamese people look much more tidy then Thais and care much more about it.

  2. but won't all this be relaxed regarding citizens of neighbouring countries when AEC comes into force?

And 40,000 people blacklisted ! WOW that is a phenomenal amount ohmy.png

The AEC is not about letting all citizens of neighbouring countries move around freely or come into Thailand. It's restricted to a select few occupations, nothing to do with the labouring classes.

True - I highly doubt that the AEC will ever come close to the free movement of labour model seen in Europe. On day one, the disparities in national wealth and population demographics would be just too great. Just compare Laos and Singapore. So you're quite right ... a lot of people here tend to overplay the importance of the AEC.

Just compare Montenegro, Portugal, Serbia, Greece with Switzerland... the same in Europe!

  3. There getting brave with daylight attacks now. Give the Weekend Warriors something to think about this weekend.

Will history repeat itself? The last time the red shirt bombers were so actively attacking peaceful anti-Shin protesters, the protesters were forced to seek shelter in a safe environment which turned out to be Suvarnabhumi airport. Will they again be forced to retreat defensively to the airport?

Never read bigger bullshit. The yellows blocked the airports nearly during 2 weeks and you call this terrorism peaceful protest. Are you blind?

  4. Blah Blah Blah...do they realize, how ridiculous, they sound to Thai people? Thai people don't take advise, suggestions or orders from outside the Country.

The suggestions are all good, but Amnesty International has no rights, or power in Thailand whatsoever.

Their heart is in the right place, but they should do their research before they open their mouth. wai2.gif

Not true at all. In the 70ies the U.S. airforce wanted to install airbases for bombing Laos and Vietnam, and Thailand agreed in the aggression of his neighbour.

  5. Well done Khun Suthep. A well deserved recognition by a much respected organisation. May you have much success in your mission over the next few days/weeks. Message to the Thaksin lovers 'If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all'.

Khun Suthep should change his name: Khun Mussolini would be more correct.

  6. The amount stolen is equal to only around two 500 Euro Notes. Maybe he felt carrying it was safer than leaving it in his hotel room.

Yet, being anywhere drunk and elderly in the middle of the night walking alone can find you mugged almost anywhere in the world.

wow they have 500 euro notes?

My country has 10k notes i think.

Is your country Indonesia or Laos? So you are a rich man, easy to become a millionaire.

  7. Don't pay sinsod. I also did not pay, I refused because my wife had already a son, when we married. Your lady should be more then happy with the money you pay every month, and I think you pay really too much. Average income in Thailand is between 10'000 and 20'000 Baht per month. It seems that the mother of your lady mistakes you for a milk cow, common attitude in Thailand, because they think all falangs are millionaires.
