Since I not like to spend holidays in countries with military dictatorship I have changed my travel plans. I avoid Thailand and I go to Laos, Vietnam and the Philippines instead.

Bangkok one of the worlds's best cities for travel? I would say one of the worst cities, just before Djakarta or Mumbay.

Removing visa stickers from the passport is a bad idea. Who does this is not really intelligent and is looking for problems. The best is to purchase a new passport.

You should go to Nam Nao (Cold Water), nice place about 90 km west of Khon Kaen in the mountains. And nearby is also a nice national park. Or you can go Bung Khan on the Mekong, north of Nakon Phanom. Also nice place. Or Nong Khai, just 2 hours by car, 55 km north of Udon Thani, on the border to Laos on the Mekong. Once you are there it is not far to Vientiane, capital of Laos PDR. Nice to see is also Chum Phae, on the way to Nam Nao.

Thai Airways and Swiss have codesharing, at least on the flight to Zurich (hub of Swiss). So you can ask Thai Airways also.

Start an own business under the actual rules, laws and government in Thailand? No, thank you. There are much better opportunities in other countries, e.g. Cambodia. And people there really want to work.

The low number of tourist arriving in Thailand show other results. Big hotels nearly empty, the Thai Hotel Association is complaining. Yes, not working. I wanted to speak to my wife which is on family visit in Thailand. Connection normally good, now not working.

Why don't you live in a country where you can drink tap water? The mineral content of our tap water is higher then that of Perrier.

A government in exile is the right step. It will show to the whole world, that the military dictatorship has no legitimacy. The government in exile must also keep the seat in the UN, another proof that the junta has no legal right and is illegal.

I not read a more stupid post here before. The generals will throw back Thailand to the level of Myanmar. No tourism, production is down because of curfew, exports are going down. Stupid generals never knew how to run a country.

Generals do not know how to run a country, they all are stupid crooks. Tourism is going down, production is going down, exports are going down, Thailand will become a poor country on the level of Myanmar and Laos if military dictatorship continues.
