Shit ... I need to travel to Savannakhet on Sunday to get mu Non Migrant O visa. does anyone know if the Friendship 2 bridge connecting Mukdhan with Savannakhet will be affected? I guess I will be able to leave but will they let me back in?
Closed also. Along with Thakhek/Nakhon Phanom
Very good for TAT and Thai tourism. The best is to avoid Thailand now and in the future.

hahahaha, no where to run, no where to hide, finally the reds will have to face justice for all their calls to arms and their own "state". If the army now get the money and pay out the rice farmers I can see all the reds being turned in and losing their supporter base totally apart from the died in the wool war mongers.
Very stupid what you write here. If you believe that the army idiots can resolve any problem in Thailand you are totally wrong.

Martial Law scares away tourists. They just won't come, period
They only ones it doesn't scare is long time Farang residents, who have seen it all before.
I will probably shut my businesses and put all my Thai people out of work if the effect is too bad. I have already been losing money for 5 years so this may just be the straw that broke the camel's back.
That, plus the immigration becoming complete jerks, even for law abiding farangs.

You stay in the wrong country, not good for business, but good for crazy politicians and for more crazy army generals. Thailand is going down the drain.

Bye bye Thailand, I will spend my money elsewhere. I not like to spend my time in a country with military dictatorship. There are enough other countries in SE Asia who will happily accept my money: Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia. I not like guns on the street.
-
Further losses in tourism are in sight. Who wants to spend his holiday in a military dictatorship?
-
NO holidays in a military dictatorship, I cancel my stay and go to the Philippines. Thailand is going down the drain.

No holidays in a military dictatorship, I cancel may holidays in Thailand and I go to the Philippines.

Why you not put the link here?

It looks very much that I have to spend my money elsewhere. If the Thai government not wants my money I must spend it in Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, in the Philippines, in Malaysia, in Indonesia. I am travelling a lot and I spend an average of 100 US$ per day.

I recommend Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche. But be careful, 100% import tax. So you know what for you are working.

It seems it is time to throw out the Russian mafia from Phuket. What country is Russia, even the president is a criminal.

Thai police unable to resolve the problem. Time to spend the holidays in another country. No such problem in Vietnam or Indonesia.
-
It is so not only in Thailand. Even worse in Indonesia, Laos and Myanmar. Bring only new and clean banknotes, not torn. Otherwise problems, when you want to change them. In Indonesia you get even a better exchange rate when the banknotes are brandnew.

The real problem in Thailand are the numerous soi dogs, dangerous, because they can transmit a lot of deseases, like for example rabies. And also very dirty, dog shit everywhere. As long as the soi dog problem is not resolved, the export of live dogs and killed dogs will go on.

They forgot the Aussies.

The lese majeste law is just a pretext for eliminating opponents and is not compatible with freedom of press and democracy. A really democratic country not has such law, but dictatorships have similar laws.

Large parts of Isaan belonged to Laotian kingdoms a long time, the actual border between Thailand and Laos has been drawn after WW2, after the French had been trown out of Indochina. During WW2 Thailand cooperated with Japan (and declared war to the British and the USA) and occupied parts of modern Laos and Cambodia. After the war Thailand had to leave the occupied territories.

Why the Mussolini of Thailand is still free? He is wanted for multiple murder and insurrection. Could it be that he covered from the army?

Last time (Nov. 2013) I changed in the airport at TMB (Thai Military Bank), TC 500 US$. The rate was exactly the same as in any bank in the city, good.compared to other banks.

The best bikes for long travels are from BMW, but (luckely) not made in Thailand. In Thailand too expensive, good price in Singapore. Or you bring your own, by ship or plane. Ducati ist not produced in Thailand, but in Italy. If you are looking for a cheap bike, you should check in Hanoi, Vietnam. BMW and Ducati available there.

"Suthep said it became clear of the increasing threats by what he described “rowdy political hooligans”.
The worst hooligan is Suthep himself.

The worst with US$ bills is in Indonesia, Sumatra. If they are not brand-new, the money changers not accept them. But if brand-new, you even get a better exchange rate.

Yep, your post is very annoying, it seems really that you don't know to estimate a democratic country. These students stand up for democracy and liberty, and you are insulting them. Shame on you!
