Think you have asked this a few times. You think of it as two separate extensions.
It's one extension and you were given an under consideration period.
In reality its already approved.
You are returning just to be rubber stamped. Think of it as automatic.
Gotcha, thanks for clarifying that. But it does sound like I'm screwed after. I think my prior visa was non-immigrant which they seem to now be cracking down on.

You can apply for the covid extension until March 25th now.
This is fine for anyone which has a Tourist Visa or Exempt entry visa, or has a COVID extension based on one of these visas.
HOWEVER if the visa before your covid extensions was a non-immigrant visa you MAY NO LONGER obtain covid extensions.
My Volunteer visa lasted until November. I got a 2 month Covid extension until January. I applied for another Covid extension, but current stamp is good until early February.
Will the February immigration check in be extended another 30 days?
After that it sounds like I must leave the country, is that correct?

I see that Thailand has a public title record system similar to the West: https://www.siam-legal.com/realestate/Title-Search-in-Thailand.php
Does Thai public record list mailing addresses of out of country foreign (condo) owners? If so I have a couple condos I see sitting empty that I'd like to send some postcards out about.

I'm going to Jomtien immigration to hopefully get my next 30 days.
What forms do I need this time?
For other Pattaya locals, do I have to queue again or can I skip it and go straight somewhere?

Does your stamp say "application of stay is under consideration"
Yes it says this one. So I guess you were correct in your last post.
Also in blue ink they wrote "913/65." I have no idea what it means.
913 days is 2.5 years. I sure hope they aren't relaying how long I've been in the country continuously! Because i think it is roughly that amount of time.

My last Covid ext stamp from Pattaya IO was 30 day + 30 day, and for the 2nd half just simply drop off the passport with some paperwork with the lady working the 90 day reporting desk in the parking lot, told to come back the next business day after 10am to pick it up.
Thanks, how do you know this? I see no special note around the stamp

They gave me 27 days (Feb 3). The immigration officer being Thai probably didn't bother switching the stamp for Friday applications vs Monday ones.
On the 3rd I'll not go early and plan to kill another day just for this

@BKKTRAVELER Yeah probably 30 days from what others were saying. 60 if lucky though I think it's 30 + 30 (extension) at this time. They really want to make it arduous for us.

Ok guys, here's what happened.
1. I waited in line between 8:30 to 10:30am to get a ticket. The lady directed me to make copies on site and affix my photo to a page where she put some roll on glue. I was then told to return at 1pm.
2. I came at 1pm and was home 4:30pm. As you can imagine, there were a lot of people. A fellow from kansas I was chatting to, who waited the same amount of time, was told at the final step to come back Monday. When he asked why, they said "too many applications." So they are turning people away as a sort of throttle. He said they were going to tell me the same thing.
3. I get to the counter and give my stuff. The lady says I have the wrong papers because I am renewing, not applying new. She points me to a little room to get the right thing.
4. Now outside of any proper process I cut the line and go straight the desk. The lady is staring at me and on edge. She wants to verify I'm here, I guess. She tells me to call my landlord and give phone to her. My landlord verifies something to her in Thai and then Lines me receipts. THis satisfies the immigration lady. She does a few stamps and marks and sends me back to the original counter.
5. They finish processing me, return 100 of my 2,000 baht, keep the papers and passport and tell me to come Monday. I ask "what time" and hear 'up to you."
So I think I've secured another 30 days unless the rumors about the Vol messing people up turn out to be true. I give myself 80-90% chance to be good. I also think I'm going to go ahead with an Elite visa now. This <deleted> is too much for me.
Edit: The Kansas guy's stay expired on Monday, mine expired today.

Why do you believe I won't?

I should have included this is at Jomtien immigration.

Yesterday, 1/5, I went to apply for a covid extension. My volunteer visa expires 1/7. I was told to come back tomorrow.
Today the same thing happened.
Does anyone know why they are doing this?

I've heard one can not get a 20 year Thai Elite visa if they have an overstay.
Are any overstays counted or just severe ones?
I have a 10 day overstay from 7 years ago. I paid a 5,000 thb fee (IIRC) to a BKK customs official who grumbled to show discontent. After that, never another issue.
I think I was on tourist visas at the time. Since then I have been stringing a chain of EDs and Volunteers more recently.
The overstay was on an old passport. I understand all old passports are linked to new ones.

Went to Hungry Panda on Soi Lengkee. Reminded me of Panda express in the US: Orange/lemon chicken, teriyaki beef etc. Pretty good stuff albiet kind of pricy (~250-300, rice extra)
Checked out the pics of other Chinese places but it's a whol lot of soupy, stringy bs without much sauce for taste. I guess in this part of the world you have to specify "American style Chinese" to get the taste right. Does anyone know another good place or is this it?

Any decent sellers around? I hear a mid drive is better on hills than a rear hub motor so will probably go with that style.

Why not do some 2 hours trips locally and see how you feel, then bump it up to 3 hours then 4, carrying the same gear you would take as a trip to Koh Samet.
I may not get the bike if a 50 miler is too much. but i see what you mean, the most important feedback is my own body's

I think the taxi to Ban Phe pier is 1,000 baht one way. An Ebike could pay for that real quick.
I can run 10 miles but as a cyclist I'm probably amateur level due to different muscles used. Is a trip of that length and terrain doable or considered an advanced route? Google puts the trip at 82 km long. So about 4 hours at 20.5 km/hr

I'm tempted to do the new passport. My covid visa ends early January though. mailing my passport to the US embassy I may not have enough time to get it back and get the next visa.
-
In a previous thread it was discussed that immigration does not see prior visa history on their computers, only entry/exit history. Is that incorrect?

Ah okay. I missed the part about the covid extension, as the OP then went on to suggest moving the volunteer visa to the new passport.
The opposite actually:
Quoteget a new visa (like a covid visa), get a new passport, and transfer the non-volunteer visa to the new passport:

This suggestion was made in another thread. People said that the volunteer visa organization was busted and now immigration is blacklisting everyone they see with a volunteer visa stamp from that organization. But one work around is to get a new visa (like a covid visa), get a new passport, and transfer the non-volunteer visa to the new passport:
Anyone able to comment on whether this will indeed work? And whether the volunteer visa is indeed causing a blacklist?

Sounds like the best route for vol visa holders is a chance of passport then? If so I'll get on it pronto. If it doesn't matter great. I'm currently switched off my vol visa and back on a 2 month covid visa.

2 agents have told me that volunteer visas are not being issued right now and to instead take covid visa extensions. The hope is during that time, volunteer visas will be issued again.
Does anyone know what is causing the suspension of this scheme and whether it is likely to resume or not?
Corvette C8?

Googling shows a few Chevy dealers in Thailand, are they able to get the new Corvettes?
If not what's the closest value sports car available? I know importing is cost prohibitive so I want to buy local.
