and the police closed absolutely everything at 12, not even the selected few few that have remained open after 12 were open, everything was completely shut down, really good idea when all these places are struggling for what few customers are left

I know one of bar-keeps on LK & he said that the cops didn't actually close the bars at 12, they went around on a bike afterwards with a camera & filmed the bars that were still open for a few nights in a row then fined them for each night.

Is there a reason why you can not get it delivered to your address?

Brand new address & having trouble getting in the system, "computer say no".

I'll get there but in the meantime just asking.

I will pop down in person & ask but hoping someone off here might know.

Surely they will do Post Restante if you request it.

    Strange times though Leaver.

A lot of organisations or their staff now doing as they please & blaming cv19

  4. Does anyone know if I can get a parcel delivered to the DHL office on 2nd rd so I can collect it?

Their website just has a drop down menu with answers to preordained questions none of which cover my needs.

They used to 15 years ago which was the last time that I used them over here but times change

Sounds delicious; as rich as a Thai cabinet minister. I'm off to look up the recipe. Bon appetit.

Look up Heston's receipe for oxtail & kidney pudding, mine's a twist on that.

I wanted to eat the TV screen when I saw his way of doing it.

So, what are you making with suet, Sid? Beef stew and dumplings? Steak and kidney pudding? Or something sweet?

I'm want to try an oxtail & bone marrow steamed pudding so I want real suet rather than a veggie or butter as a shortening.

There's a lot of prep so I want to hopefully get it right first time & not be blaming the shortening.

Yes I quite like Numchai myself. Easy to get to up the Railway line Bypass rd.

I thought paying for items (usually use a Thai CC), was a bit laborious with a lot of paper and people involved, but they have a little coffee area while you wait.

Paying with cash is no quicker especially if there's a quick sale on & they need to re-work the price & call Bangkok a number of times to confirm that "it ok to give farang discount"

I would not work with Siam Legal at all, they once tried to scam me with a legalization of my daughters birth certificate. I ended up paying more than 10 times less dealing with a nurse who was dealing with that stuff.

They did actually scam me when I tried using them to get a US visitors visa for the gf.
