  1. I was driving south down the 36 about 1pm today & had passed under the 331 when an entourage of rescue vehicles were flying up the other way all with their blues & twos flashing. I reckon there were at least 15 of them including one lorry with flashing lights & RESCUE emblazoned down the side of it but what was even stranger was that 5 or 6 of them had small boats on tow so I was thinking that there may have been a serious incident either in Pattaya bay or Banglamung port.
  2. The inside of your mouth is the area of your body most vunerable to serious infection & your body will react quite violently if an infection is allowed to fester, any thing near the brain makes the body reaction rather quickly. I don't like to take pills but on such an extraction I would & rinse with salt water gargles morning & night using clean not tap water unless boiled & allowed to cool.

  4. Remember not to transfer the funds to Thailand in the same calendar year that it was realised or it can be taxed in Thailand as income. Transfer on or after 1st January.
  5. I was in Central shopping centre the other day & used the Bangkok Bank maskless (I remember the days when you wouldn't be let into any bank wearing a mask unless you had a gun) on the 4th fl, very quick & polite service but today I tried to use the one on Beach Rd just past Royal Gardens but they won't let me in. The cleaner was sat by the door which was kept locked & she wouldn't let me in without a mask. I understood that they had to wear them during lockdown etc but those restrictions have been lifted besides which I often saw them take off their masks when sat in the little back office those days. I wonder why they still carry on like this.
  6. RIP to the poor child but why is this in the Pattaya News section & not the national section?
  7. I'd question the doctor who gave the diagnosis. I'm not saying that teacher was correct but this story just doesn't add up
  8. The immigration officer would be within their rights to refuse entry on the basis that they don't believe the person to be telling the truth about staying the allotted time on a VOA & there is not much you can do about it. Appeals take time & plenty of shillings. When dealing with officialdom in a military dictatorship it is best to keep your head down & answer questions in a timely & courteous manner. Back in the old days a sly notation was stamped on your passport for your next visit but these days they just leave a note on the system for the next officer about you. It's better to be anonymous rather than correct when crossing the paths of certain uniforms.
  9. OMG!!! Who will run the country now? Who will look after us?
  10. Why is this news in Thailand? They might as well say that the sun is hot & water is wet in Thailand.
  11. It is also law to wear a helmut when riding on a motorbike but that is not adhered to in most places.
  12. There is a bookshop in Central shopping 4th fl on the right hand side as you enter the actual Central shop itself that sells these & other educational aids for children
  13. Passport delivered on Wednesday. That's nearly 16 weeks since the application & exactly 14 weeks since the biometrics, we couldn't get an earlier date without paying for the 'premium' service. I'll report back when(if) the refund arrives.
  14. I'll pop down with my phone & film it to see if it's open, I understand the fella running the place loves the camera with rumours that he's good mates with Will Smith.
