Seems that the immediate crisis has receded with a drop of 23cm since midnight.

I was showing canuckamuk's nice pic to my Thai wife and she explained to me that Thai authorities have to block/regulate the river's flow downstream to prevent further flooding down country. Perhaps that's another reason for it being so close to overflowing up here.?.

Hi, just stumbled upon this forum while reading a security bulletin stating a possible "Red Shirt" rally during this time. The bulletin explains the route for the rally and it includes the 3- kings area, all around the moat roads and ends at the sports stadium. Could be interesting.
