Well perhaps I should have said, back in the day, when only the adventurous came to Thailand, this thing happened a lot. Remember it was the anti authority hippies that made here popular, and if not for them, the retired civil servants, dentists, and boring old farts wouldn't be here. Young people got drunk and rode a buffalo statue, big deal.

Never made it there, but Queen Victoria and William Wallace's horse were mounted a few time in Aberdeen. When I played for AGSFPs, I was amazed at the crazy Accountants/Lawyers etc and their antics after games. Once we lifted a Fiat onto a 2 foot wall. no idea how they would get it off the next day.

They have to, but sounds like he resisted arrest, caused a fire in the cell, probably deserves it, and was no doubt drunk. -

It's not racist in the slightest. Of course Thais are higher on the Thai hierarchical social ladder than non-Thais. Actually, foreigners don't even get on the first rung. If you mean the world social ladder, then I assure you most countries have no restrictions for their own citizens.

Reading that makes me want to write my story about why I didn't move back to the UK. A hellava lot more interesting too are my experiences in Khao San Road as a drunken English teacher.

I've no idea what Myrtle Beach is like but I know I'd prefer to live there than Pattaya.
