Yeah, i live in my wife's mountain village where all her relatives live, everyone knows everyone's business, I am the only western foreigner living in an overgrown village, just keep your mouth closed and go about your business as if nothing bothers you and let your wife deal with it, that way everyone wont be saying ahh the farang hates this or that blah blah.. you get it ? its bad enough that they resent you for having so much money. buy yourself a condo or something far away to escape to every once in awhile. just for your sanity. I have been in the mountains over 28 years, I took up farming cassava just to keep mental, kinda a ZEN thing working in a field peaceful. many of the people here on this forum don't know what it's really like to live outside of their comfort farang city. I havent seen a farang in over 2 years now and i prefer it.

Do you think a farang living in a rural village can actually say or do anything except keep their mouth shut ? please tell me , I can use some advice on how to deal with all these yaba , mentally ill , glue heads , i cant remember how many times the house and store has been robbed and other peoples homes also, that i am surrounded by on my soi.
