  1. And this is why the constition needs revamping.

In its current form, it is an existential threat to the Govt.

The chickenshit way the opposition tries to get at the Government via Judges, instead of electorally via the people shows their ......whatever.

Using Judges instead of parliamentary systems to debate the Govt. is seen for what it is.....just shows their weakness.

So the law needs changing so the government doesn't break the law?

Why doesn't the government just do things within the confines of the law?

    I wonder.

  2. Visas and work permits have NOTHING to do with bank accounts.

True, but was told otherwise by staff at BKK Bank inside Big C Ratchadamri. They looked at the stamp on the white ( departure ) card and told me "sorry you can't make a withdrawal because the bank of Thailand's regulation states that you should have a valid visa at the time of withdrawal." After pouring insults on them, I showed them my visa and took all my funds from the account.

  3. Presuming you are not a Troll.

If you are expecting us all to say, 'Yes, it is love.' Forget it.

Use the old and trusted method of telling her you do not have any money. And tell her if she wants to go shopping for the family etc., she can do so and you will meet her later.

We are walking ATM's in 95% of cases. And never forget that.

I'd go with 99.9% of cases.

  4. My Thai girlfriend teaches at a 3 room school, she has 15 students in different grades, pratom. I teach over 300 students English conversation at a school with 5,000 students. Her pratom 6 students speak better English than my Matayom 6 students. Smaller schools generally provide a higher quality of education, the teacher has more time with each student. Less fighting between departments, etc.

That's a simple fact that any educated person would know.

  5. I wonder how many people died horribly in various government cellars around the world as a result of this mans ego trip?

    A freak show.

Probably none, of more significance are the number of people around the world that died horribly in Government cellars as a result of covert illegal renditions by various Government secret services, which wikileaks does it's best to expose.

    Seconded.

  6. You can rent a fridge from the apartment, but if it's a condo, then I believe you can buy something really cheap ( cheaper than renting for 4 months ) around China Town. You can also get a used microwave there. For a stove, you can buy an induction plate for about 800 baht from Tesco Lotus or Big C.

  7. Missing is foreign ownership of land...Why can't I own the small 208 square meter piece of land I live on in Thailand while a Thai can go to my country and buy as much as she/he likes. What on earth do the Thais think I am going to do with my small plot? Build a nuclear missile! Dig it up and ship it to UK. Come on if the Thais really think it is BAD for somebody to own land in a country that is not their own (nationality) then a law should be passed forbidding ALL THAIS FROM OWNING LAND OVERSEAS. See how they like that.

Honestly a reasonable change would be One Rai per foreigner family.

It's designed to benefit the women foreigners marry here.

  8. Now she says her new boyfriend takes care good for her. I guess he is buying her gold and stuff, who knows

Same story I got from my ex, but I just paid my daughter's tuition. I simply went to her school to find out if the so called rich boy friend had been able to pay a mere 12k baht, but alas, I was right to have gone. You should have seen my daughter's uniform last semester ( when I visited the school); I simply paid for new ones because I was really ashamed.

She was just telling you lies to make her feel good, or save face.
