Definitely what happened I reckon.

Xenophobia is alive and well in the Thai government. Heaven forbid they dare criticise their Chinese overlords!
It is highly amusing that -
1: This virus will further spread in Thailand due to their incompetence
2: He isn't wearing a mask himself
3: No westerner in Thailand has had the virus (only Chinese and Thais)
4: I guess he didn't understand WHO's recent press release in English about masks not being a necessary prevention
Utterly embarrassing on so many levels by this simpleton.

Another Reddit - esque OP from a brand new poster ????.
Do forums actually pay these people to post on them?

I would guess your best bet would be to contact the American / IB curriculum schools to ask (American School of Bangkok, ISB, NIST, BASIS etc). You will most likely be looking at an August 2021 start as most good schools will have recruited now. I work in a British international school and have rarely come across any American teachers in them apart from a few who had previously taught in the UK.
Does your certificate actually state it is online, like the PGCEi? Seeing as you have a full teaching license (like QTS) then that is the main thing that the decent international schools are looking for in candidates.

Always wonder what will happen to this building. There is no way it can be renovated and completed in its current state. There are new condos built just next to it but I would be seriously worried about its structure in the future.

Coincides nicely with when this establishment began to take charge.
I am staggered this one made it past the fake news agency.

But for all those who live here, the farang retreats and for example the Thai people, would you have forgotten them? who never leave their country because they do not have a passport or simply because they do not have the means to go outside the borders of the country, that complicates our life.
How many hundreds of expats live on royal wages?
Most expats live on a local contract, so far from earning a lot of money.
and I know pensions, eg my neighbor (4 km) Norwegian who has a more than comfortable retirement, about 180,000 baht fall on his Thai bank account every month;
well he is not happy at all because in recent years he has lost a lot on the exchange.Slightly confused about what you mean in the opening paragraph.
Anyway, my point stands for people earning good salaries in THB. If you're a retiree using your pension to live on here then yes, you're correct that it will have a negative impact on them.
-
I for one, love the high THB and hope it remains falsely strong ????.
For the expats working here and earning a good salary the high THB is great.

Another 'urge' from him. How about spending some money on implementing things to try and ease the annual drought and flood, rather than millions and millions on military gear for an army that has never fought in a real war.

To reduce social inequality ????
Just what the 1% do not want to change. From the very very very top this is carefully controlled.

As I posted in a similar thread a day or so ago -
Thailand was a haven for western tourists in the 90s and early 00s. Every Tom, Dick and Harry wanted to come here for something different - backpackers, couples, sex pests, retirees, beach goers, adventure seekers etc. Nowadays, relying on one or two (e.g - Chinese) tourist markets was never ever going to end well.
What the TAT and the boys in charge failed to realise was to keep this tourist momentum up you need to improve, be innovative and develop the industry so it continues to grow. What I believe Thailand did in their partly ingrained arrogance, is basically nothing. They believed their own hype and thought we will always be able to attract tourists no matter what.

You post some good stuff on here and I am not one to bash Thai men for absolutely no reason, but a large percentage of them have the body and the physique of a teenage girl.
Far, far from being defined as 'strong'.

Seeing as many posters on here are regularly referring to the P4P and bar girl scene, I was trying to categorise 'normal women' as the ones in Thailand who aren't in that game.
A good amount of posters on TV sadly only experiences with Thai women are from the likes of Nana Plaza, Walking Street etc. Which is obviously very different to the majority of Thai women.

Men in their 20s-30s know nothing, but believe they know everything.
Great.
Again, you missed the point in the post. I wasn't saying I know everything.
I was mentioning from my experience of being here at those ages with normal Thai women of a similar age. I am not referring to the P4P scene like some other posters in here are.
I like a lot of your posts, but you sometimes struggle to comprehend the points some posters make at times.

Agreed this isn’t true. I had loads of Chinese on my degree (15 years ago granted!) and I had the unfortunate experience of having to do group projects with them... some of them could barely speak any English and I went to a top20 university in the U.K.
They live in segregated accommodation for ‘overseas students’ in halls of residence though and overall didn’t mix too much with British students on campus.
That is very true and exactly what my wife said. She had quite a few Chinese on her MSc who like you said, were not the best at English, and definitely kept themselves to themselves.

Bizarre as usual.
I guess it must be to stop that really dangerous money laundering that expats are involved in, especially in terms of electrical bills at Tesco.

Not only that, but when Thai and other Asian students go to British universities, they are put into segregated programs. I remember hearing how my Thai students were anticipating meeting British and other Europeans in their classes, only to find they were filled with Thais and other Asians. But it wasn't all bad for them. They got to spend most of their time sightseeing and shopping and taking selfies to post to FB.
That is completely untrue. Not what my wife or any of her international student friends experienced in England.

Huge marketing drive from them recently leads me to believe they're struggling to recruit students for their August opening.
