As with many factors in Thailand, "Do you know who I am?'' is extremely important.

More propaganda, literally just like the images on Chinese news of all the happy patients leaving the hospital smiling with their thumbs up for the camera.

And so it begins. Just like the cases / deaths have shot up in China over recent days, I expect the same to happen here in the next week etc.
This whole fiasco has epitomised Thailand's government to a tee.
There is literally no defending it and it is negligence by the guys in charge.

This is what happens when you try and alienate a large section of your tourist market and focus just on one or two areas. When one hits the fan (like China), suddenly you're left with big problems.

The Nation becoming more like the NNT with their propaganda.

Go back home if it's that bad.
Classic response from an apologist. So because we live here we aren't allowed to be critical at all?

Please tell me how this will?
If a Chinese tourist has a medical certificate saying they're fine then they can enter. However, as has been stated many many many times there can be a 14 day incubation period. Therefore, no symptoms would show on an initial medical certificate.
Also, seeing as China are restricting flights out of the country, if a Chinese national is already showing symptoms at the airport there then they won't be allowed to leave anyway.
I see literally no way this is helping to stop the spread of the disease at all. Stopping the flights, as other more switched on nation's have done, is the ONLY way.

Another example of his military bootlicker style.
''Know your place and shut up.''

Of course. Little P HAS to keep that Chinese tourism train rolling in at the expense of his own people's safety.

Another truly bizarre idea. How is this ever going to be enforced? Can you imagine the carnage at the VOA with hordes of Chinese in face masks not understanding English and shouting at each other whilst an IO is trying to ask them for a medical certificate.
What happens if someone's medical certificate is older than another person in their group? Are these people then sent home? Who is paying for that flight?
Just another example, like the 3am fireworks idea for the Bangkok Marathon by the Tourism and Sport Minister, that these people have no idea what they're doing. It is utterly tragic.

This pretty much sums up Thailand. Nobody it seems, literally NOBODY, thought to perhaps question the idea of setting fireworks off at 3am!

Good to see the big red Mitsubishi buses from about 1991 spewing out black smoke on the way to work this morning.

I think with regards to this situation we are really seeing just how inept these guys are at organising things. It has been around a month since the outbreak and still very little (apart from screening Chinese visitors) is actually being done by the Thai government.
Just to add insult to injury to him, the pollution is back in Bangkok too in a big way.

The minimum payment of Thailand based credit cards increased from 5% to 10 % a few years ago. So at 10% surely her first repayment would be 56,000, then 50,400, etc. So the figures don't seem to add up.
I think you're right. Our Citibank credit card has been used a lot recently for booking our summer holiday to America and a few other things. We have spent about 130,000 on it and our minimum repayment for February was exactly 10% of the total amount.

Yeah, just show her new passport and her old expired passport with the valid visa inside. We have done that for both the UK and USA with no issues.

It was inevitable. They couldn't / didn't do anything to try and stop this arriving here and now it has started. I expect a lot more cases to be confirmed soon. I doubt this will become a huge epidemic, but still it typifies Thailand's laissez faire attitude to literally everything.

No. That is a mugs game. We got married when we were living in England so could you imagine the reaction if I brought out a platter of money and gold to give to her family. I don't think I could ever face my friends and family again through the embarrassment if I did.
Let the Thais stick to that outdated, showing off tradition.

Do Thai women prefer ‘farang’ or Thai men? And why?

Ridiculous question and an even more ridiculous video.
Obviously Thai women in general prefer Thai men due to many factors like culture, language, security, family etc. If I was still living in England then chances are very high my partner would be English.
I have no experience of the bar girl scene, but in my experience here of being around what I would call 'normal Thai women' then there is a good percentage of them nowadays who are very open and interested in things that aren't the same as they're used to. Music, movies, TV, fashion, nights out etc are all very westernised in Thailand now for the younger generation, especially in Bangkok, and this can have an effect on how some (still the minority) normal young Thai women might view potential partners. This is very obvious in the mid 20s - mid 30s normal couples you can see around the likes of Siam / Terminal 21 etc on a weekend, e.g - normal young Thai women (not a bar girl) with normal looking foreign men (not an old sex pest).
My wife is a normal middle class 30 year old Thai woman (nice upbringing, good family, went to university in England etc) and most of her friends are with Thai men. However, one of her friends is married to a French guy and another one (who is stunning) has just start seeing a German guy. Both of them are similar age to me (early 30s) that are living and working here.
Again, this is my view coming from my experiences of being here in my mid 20s - early 30s and will vastly differ from other people's.
